You have most likely never seen an audience score this low for a newly-released popular Netflix series.

After Henry Cavill 's tumultuous exit as Netflix 's The Witcher, fans have predicted tough times for the franchise, including the Blood Origins spinoff, but this bad?..

Three days after its premiere on December 25, The Witcher: Blood Origins stands at an audience score as low as 8% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a bit less depressing 38% from critics.

What could possibly go so wrong with Blood Origins for it to only break records in failure? According to fans... pretty much everything. Social media critics lambast the show as "so bad that [they] can't even remember the characters' names", roasting its writing and storyline.

Many people note that storylines have been stolen; for instance, some fans believe that episode 3 has snatched the origin story from Full Metal Alchemist.

Besides, some fans are not okay with what they believe is "forced diversity", even though this particular issue has people predictably divided.

"It's fine to criticise The Witcher: Blood Origin because of the plot, CGI, quality of writing/acting/directing etc (or lack thereof), what's not okay is homophobic, racist, ableist or other comments claiming the "diversity" is the problem. No, the problem is just that it's crap," Twitter user autistichelaena noted.

Some people note that "no one cares" about The Witcher universe without Geralt, while others believe that the problem is much more fundamental, and Netflix needs to pull the plug on the production with the audience score this low.

"Netflix should seriously fire everyone involved with the writing & cancel further spinoffs. What a joke they've turned this beloved franchise into," Twitter user LegacyKillaHD said.

The Witcher: Blood Origins is available for streaming on Netflix since December 25. Meanwhile, the original show is set to go on without Henry Cavill as its main star — something that, in the wake of the spinoff's terrible performance, could add up to the pile of problems the franchise faces.
