It looks like Eros and Pip the Troll are coming back!

When asked by Phase Zero if audiences will see any of the characters from Chloé Zhao's Marvel Eternals ever again, Nate Moore, Marvel Studios' VP of Production and Development, who also produced the 2021 film, said we should get ready!

"I would... I don't want to spoil anything, but we have not seen the last of those characters," he said while speaking about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ahead of its November release (via Phase Zero).

Back in August Eternals star Patton Oswalt (Pip the Troll) accidentally told NBC's TODAY that the Eternals sequel was indeed in the making.

"They have announced there's going to be an Eternals sequel. Chloé Zhao is going to direct it," he told Al Roker. "So, hopefully there will be more adventures of Starfox and Pip."

Directed by Chloé Zhao, Eternals was released in 2021. The film introduced a new group of Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes, cosmic humanoid beings created by the Celestials, who get together following years of being apart. Their goal is to protect the people of Earth from their destructive counterparts, the Deviants, and the Emergence – a cosmic event signifying the birth of a Celestial, while simultaneously destroying the planet it was created on. The film has introduces Kit Harrington along with other big Hollywood names such as Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden into the MCU.

However, despite all the big names attached, Eternals ended being the worst MCU phase 4 superhero team. The movie faced heavy criticism. People wondered why Deviants, which were totally uninspiring, did nothing for the plot and why action scenes were dull – just like the visuals in general.

It has become the lowest-rated MCU project on Rotten Tomatoes. Actually, it slipped below 60% on the website becoming the first MCU film to receive a 'rotten' score. Eternals also came under fire for Marvel Studios' push to increase diversity, which resulted in several countries banning the film.

The Sandman Cancellation Rumors Raise a Big Question of Musk Twitter Era

The news about the looming sequel which Patton Oslwalt broke in August naturally caused a stir among the fans. Some of them said they were glad the characters are coming back.

"Eternals was fantastic. Maybe I'm a nut case but to me it's genuinely the best movie to come out of Marvel lmao," one of the redditors said. Other comments suggested there's nothing surprising about the news that there's going to be a sequel for an IP the company threw millions of dollars into.

And as one redditor added, it will be a sequel no one asked but we all needed.
