It is still too early to get one's hopes up, but no one seems to care about that.

Logan Lerman, who portrayed Percy Jackson in the movies, has finally followed his successor, Walker Scobell, on Instagram. This appears to be a huge thing for Percy Jackson fans given that they waited for Lerman to somehow react to the upcoming TV show.

But this is not the only thing they wanted Logan to do. The actor is a fancast dream when it comes to the role of Poseidon, with fans rallying for him to be cast in 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians'– even though the book series creator, Rick Riordan, has signaled that the show aims to give the universe a fresh start without the actors involved in the movies.

Lerman is now following both Scobell and Leah Jeffries, who plays Annabeth in the show, but has never issued any kind of official statement about the upcoming TV series, let alone his own alleged involvement in it.

But it never stopped fans from getting excited about something that is unlikely to happen.

He is not the only OG 'Percy Jackson' cast member to support the new generation. Alexandra Daddario, who played Annabeth Chase in the movie, has also cheered up for the upcoming show, particularly voicing her support to Leah Jeffries when the girl faced backlash from people who were not satisfied with her landing the role.

Daddario, in turn, has been considered by some fans as a perfect choice to play Athena.

There have been no official announcements from the 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' showrunners regarding the roles of Poseidon or Athena. At this point, it is unclear whether the gods will even be featured in the show.
