If the previous seasons of ‘Stranger Things’ were rather chilling and scary, boy does the show have a surprise for you in the upcoming season 4.

The new season of ‘Stranger Things’ is exploring “horror movie territory”, the showrunners tease, as the premiere is some two months away.

"This year, we don’t have the kids. We can’t do ‘The Goonies’ anymore. And so, suddenly, we’re leaning much harder into that horror movie territory,” the Duffer brothers told Variety.

Netflix also rolled out several snapshots from the upcoming season 4, tickling the fans’ nerves.

These kids grow up so fast.

Fans seem to be feeling the vibe.

Wait, not this vibe.

The chilling horror vibe.

But even though the show is set to be horrifying - you know, in a good way - Netflix promises that fans are going to like it. And hardly anyone in those Twitter threads disagrees!

The fourth season of the dark and nostalgic thriller will premiere on May 27, set to have two parts. Part two release is scheduled for July 1. Count the days!
