A perfect list to take a look back.

It is never easy to say goodbye to a show that you have watched for many years. Even though all the characters got their endings (or new beginnings), it can still feel like the show could have been so much more if it hadn't been cut short.

Unfortunately, there's nothing fans can do to bring the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Station 19, back to ABC after it airs its final episode on May 30. What you can do, however, is honor the show by looking back at some of the highest-rated episodes of all time, as rated from great to excellent by IMDb.

10. Trouble Man (S7E4) – 8.4/10

Directed by none other than the star of both Grey's Anatomy and Station 19, Stefania Spampinato, this episode remains one of the most creatively impressive and emotional episodes of the show. With the 24-hour shift, the team went through all the ups and downs, while the crew behind the show was able to play with camera angles for greater impact.

9. When the Party’s Over (S5E15) – 8.4/10

Focusing on Andy as she deals with the aftermath of an assault, this episode of Station 19 was not only emotional, but also one of the most powerful in terms of message. Given the number of women who end up as victims of the same crime, Andy's example was both heartbreaking and inspiring.

8. Friendly Fire (S2E14) – 8.4/10

This episode was as good at showing the complicated nature of the characters' relationships as it was at showing all the dangers of the job. Lively and fast-paced, viewers got to experience the thrill of trying to save someone despite all the warnings, and the growing anxiety of waiting for someone important to show up.

7. Something About What Happens When We Talk (S3E10) – 8.5/10

Even though the episode wasn't realistic in the slightest, as there's no way a licensed therapist would act like that, it was great for understanding all the characters and painting an even more accurate portrait of who they are. Coming from different backgrounds and burned by the job in one way or another, they all got a minute to shine.

6. Ushers of the New World (S7E8) – 8.6/10

Even though this episode was filled with many very important issues at once, from commenting on the almost non-existent medical care for immigrants to Carina and Maya's IVF journey, it manages to find the right balance and give enough attention to each storyline, giving them equal weight.

5. Things We Lost in the Fire (S5E5) – 8.7/10

For once, the title of the episode wasn't so much metaphorical as it alluded to an actual loss suffered by characters in the universe as well as fans of the show. From one last failed attempt to tell Vic the truth about his feelings to falling victim to tragedy, Miller's exit will forever be one of the most heartbreaking.

4. For Whom the Bell Tolls (S2E16) – 8.8/10

Just like Grey's Anatomy, Station 19 was extremely difficult to watch at times due to painful and tear-jerking moments. However, it is hard to deny that when Shondaland wants to hurt viewers, they know how to do it well. Besides, every episode that captures the firefighter's funeral is a way to nod in respect to the people who protect us in real life.

3. I'll Be Seeing You (S3E12) – 8.9/10

Another tragic episode that will live forever in everyone's hearts is the death of Captain Pruitt Herrera. Over the course of two and a half years, his undeniably stubborn, yet wise and truly heroic character grew on viewers, only to be unexpectedly taken from them before the end of the season.

2. Always Ready (S2E15) – 9.1/10

After the anxiety already mentioned in this list from episode 14 of the same season, viewers were finally relieved by the fast-paced dynamic at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. However, the relief didn't last long as tragedy struck and ruined the hopes of all fans of Vic and Ripley for a Christmas miracle.

1. How Am I Supposed to Live Without You (S7E9) – 9.6/10

It's not often that episodes from the last few seasons of a show get as much recognition as this one did. As the first part of the finale of Station 19 on ABC, this episode was an ode to the beginning, perfectly showing how all the characters have changed and grown since the show started. Hopefully, the second part of the finale will take its rightful place by May 30.
