10. The Irishman, 2019

The Irishman is almost three and a half hours long, which is even longer than the epic Casino by Martin Scorsese. And we can only be glad that the movie was released on Netflix – in cinemas, such a length would probably scare off many viewers. Many viewers preferred to split the viewing into two or three approaches, turning the movie into something like a mini-series.

9. The Cloverfield Paradox, 2018

There is an energy crisis on Earth – in five years there will be no resources left and humanity needs a new source of energy. Scientists develop a particle accelerator to be launched and tested on the Cloverfield space station. After a series of unsuccessful experiments, a team of specialists still manages to launch the accelerator, but it turns into disaster.

The main task of The Cloverfield Paradox's authors is to constantly surprise the viewer and maintain intrigue until the end. You will definitely want to rewatch such an attraction, and won't regret the time spent.

8. Lucifer, 2016-2021

Lucifer was bored in hell, so he came to the human world. He buys a nightclub in Los Angeles, has fun and enjoys earthly sins – in general, behaves according to the ideas of the King of Hell. After the mysterious murder of his friend, Lucifer begins to investigate different cases with detective Chloe Decker.

The show's writers have always tried to shake up the familiar police procedural formula, sometimes in rather original ways. Lucifer has had a black-and-white noir episode, a musical episode, and even a Looney Tunes-style animated episode. And let's face it – we can watch Tom Ellis' Lucifer endlessly.

7. Marriage Story, 2019

Contrary to the title, we only hear the story of marriage through the characters' retellings. What we actually see is the story of divorce. According to Nicole, Charlie was fixated on his work and did not allow her to develop as a person. According to Charlie, he wanted the best for both of them, and there was nothing special to develop.

Noah Baumbach tells the story that has been called the Kramer vs. Kramer of modern times. A strong drama is always worth revisiting, and when Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson are on screen at the same time, it deserves it doubly.

6. The Haunting of Hill House, 2018

The Crain family moves into a new house, which they intend to sell after restoration. From the very first days, strange things begin to happen – from creaking floors and grinding walls to (very creepy) ghosts walking around at night.

If you follow horror movies, then you know the name Mike Flanagan, whose work includes both feature-length and serial hits. The director's ability to create a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere, put deep ideas underneath the horror shell, and place jump scares at just the right time leaves no doubt that this series deserves a place in your collection.

5. Narcos, 2015-2017

Narcos is a brilliant selection of tough and bloody stories about the defeat of the world's drug cartels – from Colombia's Pablo Escobar to Mexico's Felix Gallardo.

The creators are proud of the documentary nature of the show. The stories of all seasons were written based on the real memories of the participants of the events – police agents, journalists and even former criminals. During filming, the team even moved to Colombia.

So you can not only learn about some of the biggest criminals in history, but also enjoy beautiful views, and (albeit virtually) go to Colombia.

4. Orange Is the New Black, 2013-2019

When Piper was a young girl, she fell in love with Alex, who worked for an international drug cartel. Alex took her into her business, but then Piper got tired of living on the edge and left.

Years have passed, Piper is getting ready to marry her boyfriend, but the past catches up with her -–Alex has been caught and has betrayed everyone who has ever worked with her, including Piper – the woman is sentenced to 15 months in prison.

The show keeps sending us into the past of the characters, which makes us care more and more about them. So once you've watched Orange Is the New Black in its entirety, you can be sure that after a while you'll want to meet your favorite characters again.

3. Castlevania, 2017-2021

Romania, 1476. Hordes of monstrous creatures are marching across Wallachia, destroying every living thing in their path. Vlad Dracula Tepes himself has unleashed the demonic creatures upon the earth, taking revenge on the people who burned his wife at the stake. The only one who can challenge Dracula is Trevor Belmont, the last hunter.

Castlevania is an adaptation of the game that can easily be recommended to anyone who loves good animation, regardless of their gaming background. This is a rare example of a talented transfer of the gaming experience to the small screen, an achievement that few can tout. So what else do you need to keep a physical media of it?

2. Anne With an E, 2017-2019

An orphan with a wild imagination ends up in the home of foster parents. It soon turns out that the family was expecting a boy, not a red-headed girl. Still, there are many new things waiting for her: trying to prove that she is worthy of living in a new place, quarrels with the neighbors, school life and first romantic feelings.

Anne With an E is definitely one of the most warm and cozy shows. The series has a special ability to comfort, distract from problems and make you believe that magic is in the air, and these are the feelings that every viewer will want to return to.

1. BoJack Horseman, 2014-2020

Anthropomorphic horse BoJack, a former sitcom star, is in the twilight of his career, feeling sorry for himself and drinking alcohol in a huge mansion. Trying to get back into the action, BoJack hires writer Diane to help him with his autobiography, but gradually falls in love with her.

What sets BoJack apart from other adult animations is a shocking disconnect between form and content. A colorful comedy about humanoid animals turns out to be a relevant satire about the celebrity world, and if you dig a little deeper, it turns out to be a piercing drama about self-destruction on the road to happiness.
