These series have extremely gripping plots, but unfortunately too little is said about them.

There is no doubt that Amazon's Prime Video is one of the best platforms for incredibly addictive crime drama series. But with such a treasure trove of great series, it can be easy for many shows to get overshadowed by the more popular ones and unfairly go unnoticed.

That's why we've come to the rescue by compiling a list of ten excellent but rather obscure crime dramas to watch this November on Prime.

10. Tin Star (2017, 3 seasons)

Despite starring such Hollywood legends as Tim Roth, Christina Hendricks and Genevieve O'Reilly, the series has unfortunately gone relatively unnoticed. Tin Star follows an undercover London cop who now lives in a small Canadian town. When an oil company threatens the safety of the town and his family, he turns on his violent alter ego while under the influence of alcohol.

9. McDonald & Dodds (2020, 3 seasons)

Set in the English city of Bath, this crime drama tells the story of an ambitious London cop, McDonald, who is assigned to head the local CID. She is paired with the somewhat enigmatic and extremely humble Detective Sergeant Dodds.

8. Too Old to Die Young (2019, miniseries)

Nicolas Winding Refn is known for his insane feature-length action dramas and noir-soaked, neon-lit psychological thrillers. But more recently, Refn has also released a series about a grieving cop who gets caught up in an LA underground overrun with assassins and mobsters.

7. The Killing Season (2016, miniseries)

The Killing Season tells the story of documentary filmmakers Joshua Zeman and Rachel Mills' infamous cold case investigation into the murders of sex workers in Long Island, New York from 1996 to 2011. The case didn't officially move forward until 2023 with the arrest of a suspect in three murders.

6. Lorena (2019, miniseries)

Executive produced by Jordan Peele, the docuseries follows the infamous 1993 incident in which Lorena Bobbitt cut off the penis of her husband, a former Marine, after years of domestic violence and marital rape. The woman became a public laughingstock, but she found her strength and is now not only an activist for victims of domestic violence, but also an icon for many women.

5. Shots Fired (2017, miniseries)

An experienced investigator and her colleague, an aspiring prosecutor, are sent to North Carolina to investigate the murder of a white teenager by a black sheriff's deputy. But there is more to the case than meets the eye, as they become entangled in a conspiracy involving another case, the murder of a black teenager.

4. Gomorra: La serie (2014, 5 seasons)

This Italian neo-noir thriller centers on a high-ranking Mafia officer and the heir to the clan of a long-imprisoned kingpin. Together they navigate the intrigues and power struggles of the Naples criminal underworld.

3. Guilt (2019, 3 seasons)

As the title suggests, the main theme of this Scottish series is an exploration of guilt. The plot begins when two brothers accidentally run over an elderly man in Edinburgh, but instead of coming clean, they cover up the crime.

The British love their crime dramas to be brooding, gripping and realistic, filled with gruesome twists and turns. That's exactly the case with Thirteen. The plot follows a 26-year-old girl who escapes from her kidnapper after 13 years.

Dahaad is a sharp Hindi-language crime drama inspired by the case of serial killer Mohan Kumar, alias Cyanide Mohan, who preyed on women in search of a suitable wife.
