3. Neve Campbell's Improvisation

The iconic comeback of the main girl Sidney Prescott in Scream 5 was a blessing for the fans.

She was also the one who came up with the idea of her character saying "I'm Sidney f**king Prescott — of course I have a gun" when Dewey calls her.

4. Protective Vest Was Not So Protective

Even though in the first Scream the OG Skeet Ulrich had to wear a protective vest it didn't seem to protect him well.

5. Melissa Barrera Didn't Have An Audition

The actress who played Sam, Billy Loomis' daughter and the final girl, in Scream 5 and Scream 6 never actually had a real audition.

She met with directors via Zoom and they had a pretty long getting-to-know-you conversation, the next day Melissa got a part in the movie.

6. Writers Always Have a Backup Plan

Writers were always concerned about the script being leaked, that's why there is always more than just one storyline at the beginning of every franchise production.

Thus, in Scream 2 Dewey could end up as Ghostface; in Scream 4 Sidney's niece Jill aka Ghostface had to survive and continue her murders in the next parts, and in Scream 5, Tara and Amber were originally to be presented as a couple.

7. Mason Gooding Or Hermione Granger?

At the University Mason wrote a six-page long essay proving that Scream deserved a reboot and after meeting the directors he finally got a chance to show them his creation.

We all know that it led him to get the role of Chad in parts 5 and 6, having your little Hermione Granger moment seems to be not a bad idea.

8. Stu Macher Could Be Back?

Scream's second OG Matthew Lillard admitted in the Pop My Culture podcast that he originally had to come back as a high schoolers killer in Scream 3 but, after the Columbine massacre, the idea was put aside.

There are still rumors that Matthew could be back as Ghostface in Scream 7 and, to tell the truth, we are really desperate for this one.
