The Harry Potter franchise has brought Daniel Radcliffe some $100 million and landed him not only among the highest-grossing child actors but also among the most popular international movie stars. The last installment of the saga was released a decade ago but Radcliffe still makes money off the franchise.

In just one year the Harry Potter actor made an astounding $2.6 million as his company Gilmore Jacobs Limited accounts disclosed last Friday show. It is not immediately known where the money came from but it is understood that the company is where Radcliffe channels his on-screen earnings.

Comparing to Radcliffe's, other Harry Potter stars' accumulated wealth looks humble.

For example, Michael Gabon who portrayed Albus Dumbledore is estimated to be only $20 million worth. Gary Oldman, who famously played Sirius Black, has amassed some $40 million throughout his acting career. Alan Rickman, the Severus Snape actor, who passed away in 2016 after losing his battle with cancer, grossed some $16 million while the net worth of Robbie Coltrane who's known for portraying Hagrid was estimated to be at least $4 million.

These figures are nowhere near what Daniel Radcliffe's co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint got for their roles in the Harry Potter franchise, which made the Hermione Granger actress $70 million richer. The Ron Weasley actor made some $60 million from the franchise.

It's often the case that certain actors keep profiting off the series which they once starred in. Take for instance the lead cast of The Big Bang Theory. Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, and Jim Parsons did make a fortune playing their characters but they also keep earning $10 million a year for three consecutive years after the show ended. They each own 1 percent worth of The Big Bang Theory's total earnings for Warner Bros. year-on-year and they will continue getting the paycheck as long as the show brings money.

Daniel Radcliffe's $100 million does not position him among the top 50 richest actors though. It is Oprah Winfrey who tops the list with her $3.5 billion. Brock Pierce could be a good role model for Radcliffe. The former child actor who became famous for appearing as Gordon in "The Mighty Ducks" franchise is worth 2 billion. However, it was not movies which made him a billionaire. Pierce made a fortune due to his early cryptocurrency investment.
