It’s not only “Ay, Caramba” that we love.

The Simpsons is undoubtedly the most iconic animated series ever created for television. The show has been on the air since 1989. Created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company, the show has remained the ultimate option through the years for those who appreciate adult cartoons.

Yes, the show is obviously not for children, as there are so many questionable storylines that they simply won't understand (and that's actually a good thing). Lots of political jokes, racist comments, sexy stuff and more.

However, all these things combined with the charisma of all the quirky characters of the series and their never ending nonsense made us obsessed with The Simpsons all these years. And there are even many catchphrases from the show that have become iconic and have lived in our lives for decades now.

Here are just a few of them.

Y’ello!

Yoink!

Another short word that Homer gave us is this one. And whenever the fans grab something, they use this sound. Makes the process funnier, right?

You shot who in the what now?

It's a perfect phrase that fans of the show now use when they didn't hear something they were told, or simply didn't understand the meaning. It was originally used by Jasper Beardley (the old man with the long white beard) when Smithers apologized for shooting him in the wooden leg.

Marge, can you set the oven to cold?

Another iconic Homer’s phrase that is mostly used by fans every time the house is at a moderately uncomfortable temperature.

I DON'T know

It’s literally the phrase you can hear. The trick is to say it in Homer’s voice, almost crying, and putting the emphasis on the word “don’t”. Often used when being asked silly questions.

So to answer your question, I don't know

Another variation of the previous phrase is this one, and the trick is also in the attitude of saying. You should sound very professional, almost make the person you are talking to believe that you're going to give them a lecture now. Used a lot by people in their workplaces.

I choo-choo choose you

Basically the cheesiest thing said in the entire series is this Ralph’s Valentine’s day love confession to Lisa. Can be used towards anything and anyone you love. But mostly used by fans to declare their love to their pets.

Excellent (+ praying hands)

Must be said in the tone of Mr. Burns to work the necessary way. Almost whispering devilish sounds when something goes right the way he wanted it to.

Willie hears ya. Willie don’t care

Groundskeeper Willie has a lot of catchphrases that we like and use, but this one is so perfect on a daily basis we can’t stress it enough. Is there any explanation even needed?

I don't recall saying good luck

This was said to Kirk Van Houten when he was being fired and is an iconic phrase fans admit they try to use “as often as humanly possible”. Slay and stay toxic!

Everything's coming up Milhouse!

When you are disappointed in so many things and basically have been a loser for a long time, there’s nothing that can cheer you up more than a little thing in which you accidentally win. So the fans use this phrase when at least something in their life goes well.

Or… it can also be used in a sarcastic way, when actually nothing goes the way you wanted.

I’m shocked and appalled

The perfect way to confess how disappointed you are in something or someone. It was used by Bart in the episode when Ned Flanders went cuckoo…
