3 Cringeworthy ‘Peppa Pig’ Rip-Offs, Ranked From Bad to Worst

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the team behind Peppa Pig should be really happy. These 3 cartoons are basically Peppa Pig in another universe.
Success brings imitation, and Peppa Pig's massive popularity has inevitably led to quite the collection of suspiciously similar cartoons hoping to get their way into the same success.
Ever notice that some shows seem a little familiar? Too familiar even: simple character design, flat and colorful animation, and a story structure just like in Peppa Pig. Let's count down 3 of the most hilariously obvious Peppa Pig-inspired shows that will have you doing double-takes.
3. ‘Kid-E-Cats’
This show follows three kittens (Cookie, Pudding and their little sis Candy) who live in a small town, getting into daily adventures driven by their curiosity. While the premise sounds innocent enough, the similarity to a certain show (cough, Peppa Pig) is hard to ignore.
On the brighter side: Kid-E-Cats actually has some pretty decent animation quality compared to other rip-offs. The colors are vibrant and the character movements are smoother than you'd expect. And the kittens do have distinct personalities that might keep your toddler entertained for longer than five minutes.
2. ‘Wolfoo and Friends’
This one's a real head-scratcher. Wolfoo is a wolf living with his family, getting into everyday adventures. Sound familiar? The show barely tries to hide its Peppa inspiration, from the animation style to the family dynamics.
On the brighter side: at least they changed the species from pig to wolf? That's about all the originality you'll find here. Kids might not notice the difference, but parents will be rolling their eyes.
1. ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ (or ‘Chapeuzinho Vermelho e sua Turma’)
This version takes the cake for the most obvious Peppa clone. From the thick outlines to the simplistic backgrounds and those signature cheek circles, they've photocopied Peppa's homework and didn't even try to change the font.
On the brighter side: there's something almost impressive about the audacity here. They took a classic fairy tale character and somehow made it into a Peppa Pig rip-off. Maybe that counts as creativity?
