There's just been too many episodes to remember every single one.

When a show runs as long as General Hospital has and becomes as popular as it has, it's not surprising that even some of the most iconic moments don't feel as important.

But that only adds to the excitement of remembering and reliving them.

Throughout its 30,000+ episodes, General Hospital has hosted some very popular guests. Celebrities you know and love from other Hollywood movies or shows. Those who started out on the soap or found themselves as guests.

Here are 3 actors you may not even believe were on General Hospital:

Eva Longoria

The actress made her breakthrough in 2004 when she landed the role of Gabrielle Solis on ABC's Desperate Housewives.

Before that, however, Longoria had quite a run in soaps, appearing on General Hospital in 2000 and landing the role of Isabella Braña on the long-running soap The Young and the Restless.

The reason you may not even remember Eva Longoria being on General Hospital is because her role was very brief: she played a look-a-like Stefan who was hired to make it look like Brenda Barrett was still alive.

James Franco

Not only did James Franco create the role he ended up playing on General Hospital, he also got the character named after him. A serial killer named Franco first appeared on screen in 2009 and was not fully written out until 2021.

What's even more surprising is how James Franco got the role in the first place: he actively sought out a role on the soap opera.

The actor was lucky enough to have some connections with Steve Burton, who played Jason Morgan, who helped him get signed for 20 episodes.

Demi Moore

For the actress who's widely known to the general public as Molly Jensen from Ghost, her acting career began years before that on General Hospital.

Moore first appeared on television screens in 1982 in the role of investigative reporter Jackie Templeton, which she played for two years until 1984.

As the actress had a long career compared to the other stars on this list, this fact from her filmography is still too often forgotten.
