Season 11 has been an emotional rollercoaster, and the finale has just finished off those of us still standing.

Chicago Fire just knows how to get our hearts racing, and cliffhangers are the show's bread and butter. Here are three questions we are all dying to know the answers to after that hell of a finale.

1. Is Mouch Going to Make It?

Christian Stolte has been an integral part of the show for eleven seasons, and we aren't ready to say goodbye to him just yet.

Firehouse 51 has lost so many already (please don't take Mouch from us too!). The finale sees Mouch badly injured, but we don't worry too much – at first.

He is taken to the hospital, where his condition is pretty stable until he starts coding. Thankfully, Herrmann is there for his friend and calls the doctor in time.

If Mouch dies in the season 12 premiere, it won't be the first time Chicago Fire has done this to one of its main characters.

Mouch's fate officially remains unclear, but actor Christian Stolte's cryptic Instagram post feels suspiciously like a goodbye…

2. Is Severide Coming Back?

Actor Taylor Kinney has been on a personal leave of absence since January, and his character has been sent to arson training.

However, we have recently found out that his program has ended, and now he is off doing an ATF investigation God-knows-where. In the finale, his wife, Stella, goes to find him and bring him home.

What is going on with Severide, and will he return to Firehouse 51? These are some good questions that only Kinney can answer.

We all want him to be back for season 12, but hope is fading by the minute.

3. Are Casey and Brett Getting Married?

Casey is back in the finale, and we couldn't be happier to see him. The thing is, he is back for work, not Sylvie, so both she and we are surprised to see Matt down on one knee and with a ring.

This couple has tried the engagement thing before and failed miserably. Will it be different this time if Brett says yes?

Who knows. We'd hate to see Casey heartbroken yet again. Fingers crossed for their "second time is the charm" in season 12! Will we manage to wait until fall to find out the answers? Hopefully.
