Whether you like it or not, Hollywood is all about nepotism.

A guest cameo is nothing new to any TV show. Mostly the huge stars play little roles for comic relief, or they can even play themselves to attract more audience. However, you don't always need to be an A-list actor to secure a role in a sitcom. Sometimes it's enough to be in a relationship with one.

From surprise appearances as love interests in comedies to cute cameos in dramas, there have been numerous cases of married or dating couples appearing together on screen. And here are our favorite ones.

1. Nancy Carell as Carol — The Office

This is the example when a decision to bring on a show your wife worked for the best. Steve Carell, who portrayed Michael Scott in the show, played together with his wife in season 2. Nancy Carell had the role of real estate agent Carol, who sells a condo to Michael and later becomes his sort of a girlfriend.

It's hard to believe they were real-life partners at the time, because they managed to create that on-set awkwardness and lack of chemistry that made their relationship on the show just perfect.

2. Brad Pitt as Will — Friends

In season 8 of the show, we were introduced to Will Colbert, Monica and Ross' high school friend. The guy was played by Brad Pitt, who was Jennifer Aniston 's husband at the time. And even though they were a power couple back then, Pitt's character wasn't so nice to Rachel. In fact, he hated her because she made fun of him at school.

Although many fans of the show thought that Pitt didn't do a great job with his character, it's still worth mentioning that it was actually hilarious to see them on screen playing not a love couple, but rivals of sorts.

3. Danneel Ackles as Anael — Supernatural

Although the show has been on the screen since 2005 with Jensen Ackles as the main character, his wife Danneel only made her debut on Supernatural in 2018. She appeared in season 13 as the angel Anael, who took control of Sister Jo's body and used her as a vessel.

Anael appeared occasionally as a character until the show's fifteenth and final season.
