4 'The Office' Wildest Fan Theories You Haven't Heard Of

Creed's dark past, the real reason Angela dislikes Pam, and the true identity of the Scranton Strangler: all in one list!
The Office ended more than ten years ago, yet it lives on in the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. But what's a fan to do when they've watched all the episodes dozens of times?
It's time for fan theories – bizarre, brilliant, and sometimes downright wild.
1. Creed Bratton Isn't Actually Creed Bratton
Creed is perhaps the company's most mysterious employee. In one episode, he claims that Creed Bratton stole something from him one day, after which no one saw him again.
In another episode, he showed his passport. Viewers learned from this that the character's real name is William Charles Schneider. Combining these two facts reveals that the man we know as Creed is actually William Charles Schneider.
Since no one ever saw the thief again, some fans believe that William dealt with him after the theft, took his name, and got a job at Dunder Mifflin to cover up the crime.
By the way, the actor who plays this character is also named Creed Bratton. However, Creed Bratton is his pseudonym – his real name is William Charles Schneider.
2. Kevin Steals Company Funds
Kevin is a charming, albeit slightly awkward, accountant with an unhealthy passion for gambling. Fans believe that he is pretending and Kevin is actually very smart.
He does this so that he will not be suspected of stealing company money. In one episode, Kevin beats Oscar, the office's resident know-it-all, in a quiz.
This suggests that Kevin is much smarter than he seems. How else could he afford to buy out an entire bar at the end of the series?
3. Toby Might Be the Scranton Strangler
The Scranton Strangler is a notorious serial killer who has been operating in Scranton, where the Dunder Mifflin office is located, for seven seasons. And Toby is known for annoying Michael and having an unrequited crush on Pam.
As fans believe, when Pam begins a relationship with Jim, Toby allegedly can't accept it and starts killing. One of the deaths occurs on the birthday of Pam and Jim's child.
In season seven, there is a scene in which the employees watch a car chase involving the Strangler on TV. Toby is the only person absent from this scene.
Ultimately, the Strangler is caught and revealed to be George Howard Skub. Toby is selected for the jury. When Scub is convicted, Toby doesn't believe he is guilty – because Toby himself could be the killer.
4. Roy Cheated on Pam With Angela
According to fans' theory, Pam wasn't the only one torn between two people at the office. Her fiancé, Roy, was also having an affair – with Angela.
In the game "Who Would You Do" Roy names Angela. Then, in the episode at a casino, Angela and Roy exchanged ambiguous glances. Then, Roy left the event early. Presumably, he left to sleep with Angela.
In Season 3, Angela calls Roy very strong, while Kevin giggles in the background – perhaps he knew about their affair. This theory explains Angela's attitude toward Pam. Angela probably wanted to ruin their romance, but Roy ultimately chose Pam.
