But we don’t judge.

Despite being a part of the series' success, actors can also publicly express their dissatisfaction or criticism of their own shows.

Here are 5 actors who openly dissed their own TV shows and weren't ashamed of it.

5. Blake Lively — Gossip Girl

Known for her role as spoiled Upper East Side Manhattan teen Serena van der Woodsen in the iconic teen drama Gossip Girl, Blake Lively expressed mixed feelings about the show that made her famous.

She found some aspects of the show controversial and was concerned about its impact on young viewers. Lively also disliked the assumption that viewers knew her through her character and didn't want to be associated with the character's actions.

Interestingly, but Blake's co-stars Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, and Taylor Momsen also disapproved of the show on different levels.

4. Jenna OrtegaWednesday

Jenna Ortega's experience as the titular character in Netflix 's Wednesday seemed to be difficult for the young actress. Ortega was initially hesitant about the role, disagreed with some aspects of the character, and had to make changes on set that differed from the crew's vision, which made her feel like her opinion didn't matter.

This challenging experience left the actress with lowered confidence, and while viewers are impressed with the show, Jenna isn't entirely proud to be known primarily for this role.

Stephen Dillane, best known for playing Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones, said he found much of the show brutal and couldn't watch it because of its severity. While he acknowledged the worldwide success of the show, Dillane also admitted that the money was the main benefit for him.

Although he enjoyed his time on set with his fellow actors, Dillane didn't get much satisfaction from playing his character's controversial storyline, and he understood why some fans stopped watching after one particularly disturbing plot point.

1. Evangeline Lilly — Lost

Lost's Evangeline Lilly initially liked her character, Freckles Kate, but grew disenchanted as the show progressed. The actress felt that Kate was becoming predictable and disliked the shift in her character's independence to pursuing men on screen.

However, Lilly's frustration, which once led her to throw scripts across the room, turned to compassion after Lilly realized that her character's flaws added depth to her role, as even such cool characters don't have to stay cool all the time.
