5 Best Apple TV+ Shows For You to Watch If You Still Keep That Subscription After Severance Season 2

Ben Stiller’s hit sci-fi isn’t the only gem the streamer is widely acclaimed for.
Having premiered back in January, Severance ’s season 2 has passed on to its finale in the blink of an eye, with the show itself leaving Apple TV+ for at least a couple of upcoming years.
It’s fair to say Severance may easily be the biggest deal the streamer has ever had, becoming its most watched series soon after the second season’s premiere.
However, Apple TV+ has been long known as the undeniable leader when it comes to high-quality shows which are conveniently stored in its vast collection. If you can’t decide whether you should say goodbye to your Apple TV+ subscription now that Severance is temporarily gone, these brilliant series will likely make up your mind.
Silo
If you’re looking for some more sci-fi hits like Severance, Apple TV+ is definitely the place where many of those belong to.
With Dune ’s star Rebecca Ferguson in the leading role, Silo has remained in the streamer’s top lists ever since its first season dropped in 2023 and is currently having its third instalment in the works.
Based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of books, the show develops a different version of a post-apocalyptic world with an underground silo which Ferguson’s engineer Juliette has to keep functional. Over the course of its existence, Silo has received universal acclaim and, just like Severance, is regarded as one of Apple TV+’s biggest hits to-date.
Servant
With M. Night Shyamalan at the helm as the showrunner, Servant offers a psychological horror experience you might not want to abandon until the very last episode, even with all the supernatural twists included.
Starring Harry Potter ’s actor Rupert Grint among others, the series follows a couple hiring a young nanny to look for their infant son, soon to start suspecting that the latter was replaced with a reborn doll.
However, both parents tend to believe there’s nothing strange that has occurred to their child, even though the nanny’s arrival at their house does bring some horrifying events along.
Ted Lasso
One more hit series that Apple TV+ owes its leading position to, the sports comedy has been a beloved show fans almost let go after Ted Lasso’s third season; the instalment, however, wasn’t the definitive finale as the series is currently getting into the production of its fourth season.
Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as the eponymous character and an American coach hired to train the British soccer team for future tournaments; with lack of knowledge, but an excessive amount of optimism, Ted soon proves to be the right person for the position, despite some plotting against his success.
Sugar
Now set to return with a second season sometime in the future, the Colin Farrell-led neo-noir mystery drama premiered back in 2024, opening to numerous accolades and eventually securing some Emmy nods.
Set in the 1970s-styled Los Angeles, the series follows John Sugar, a private detective struggling with his personal issues when he’s tasked to investigate the disappearance of a wealthy and influential movie producer’s beloved granddaughter.
As expected, things get way more complicated once Sugar delves into the family’s darkest secrets.
Disclaimer
Written and directed by renowned Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, this psychological thriller miniseries stars Cate Blanchett and Sacha Baron Cohen as Catherine and Robert Ravenscroft whose relationship starts falling apart once the horrifying truth about Catherine’s past is revealed.
With twists and turns that leave the audiences with brain-scratching numerous guesses about what’s true and what’s false, Cuarón’s series is a magnificent gripping story that new viewers might want to binge-watch now that all of the show’s episodes have already arrived on Apple TV+.
Released back in October, Disclaimer received numerous accolades, including Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice nominations for Cate Blanchett.
