5 Best Movies You’ll Be Able to Watch for Free in April

In the world of paid streaming platforms, Tubi is there to give you your favorite movies for free.
The popularity of big streamers with all sorts of exclusive content is undeniable, but platforms offering some old movies free of charge might be an even more tempting option.
In recent months, the free streaming service Tubi has remained in its prime thanks to dropping more flicks from previous years on its platform; just like its fellow streamers Netflix or Prime Video, Tubi also keeps a tradition of sticking to its own schedule of the most anticipated releases every month.
While we’re already heading towards the end of March, there are several movies whose arrival on the platform you can expect just in a couple of weeks.
The Lego Movie (2014)
Inspired by the famous line of construction toys, The Lego Movie remains one of the biggest hits among animated films of the past decade.
Featuring voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman, the movie follows minifigure construction worker Emmet Brickowski who suddenly gets involved in a protest against an evil tyrant who wants to conquer the world by destroying Lego pieces, glueing them all together.
The Lego Movie was a massive hit back in 2014, grossing $470 million in the box office against the budget of around $65 million.
The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988)
A classic comedy that derives from the timeless Police Squad! series, The Naked Gun stars Leslie Nielsen as clueless police lieutenant Frank Drebin tasked with a mission to uncover a huge conspiracy that leads mind-controlled people to killing others.
The movie also features Priscilla Presley in a supporting role and still holds a hit status, proved by two sequels that followed in 1991 and 1994 respectively.
Split (2016)
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Split is still one of the biggest hits of the filmmaker’s entire career.
The movie features James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man with dissociative identity disorder whose 23 confirmed personalities are now expected to be dominated by another and way more evil one.
Also starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Betty Buckley, Split was both a critical darling and box office success, grossing $278 million against its budget of $9 million and currently holding 79% of positive reviews from critics and audiences.
Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2 (2003 and 2004)
Quentin Tarantino ’s hit martial arts thriller, Kill Bill is the director’s epic story divided into two movies, though Tarantino himself has repeatedly stated he never thought of them as two films separated from one another.
Both movies follow Uma Thurman’s former assassin, known as The Bride, as she goes on a full-scale revenge when her ex-lover Bill ruins her wedding day and makes her lose her unborn child.
Also conceiving the idea of paying back to everyone who contributed to her personal tragedy, The Bride makes a whole list of her future victims and sets out on a journey she is determined to finish no matter what.
A Few Good Men (1992)
Starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and this year’s Oscar nominee Demi Moore, the movie follows Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee defending two US Marines accused of killing a fellow Marine.
At some point, Kaffee is ready to turn to plea bargains which is what he usually does, when a fellow lawyer suggests the marines might have carried out an order from their commanding officer.
Released back in 1992, A Few Good Men found major success with both critics and public, earning more than $240 million in the box office and securing scores of 84% and 89% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes.
