Time to say goodbye.

It was a turbulent year for the television industry as a whole, with writers' and actors' strikes throwing the networks' fall schedules into chaos and leaving showrunners on their toes trying to figure out how to save their products.

Unfortunately (or not), many of our favorite shows didn't survive. So here's a list of 5 series that won't be returning in 2024.

1. The Blacklist

The fans of this extra complicated series with James Spader playing the main character, Raymond Reddington, said goodbye to it in July 2023, when the last season was released. The show has been on the air for 10 years, but now it seems that the FBI drama has finally reached the natural end point.

2. iCarly

Fans of the original iCarly, a once extremely popular teen show, were so excited when they got the spinoff of the series from Paramount+, but their happiness didn't last long. The show reunited all the stars of the original show, such as Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, and fans got a chance to see how their characters' lives turned out.

However, after season 3, it was announced that the show was canceled. What frustrated the fans the most is the fact that the last season ended on a cliffhanger, so now they will never find out how things turned out for Carly.

3. All Rise

It seems that this particular show has a bad fate. The series, which takes a close look at the personal and professional lives of judges, lawyers, cops and other legal professionals, was already canceled once after its Season 2 on CBS.

However, OWN picked it up for Season 3 in 2022. However, the show failed to live up to the high expectations and was canceled again.

4. Big Sky

Big Sky features Jensen Ackles and Katheryn Winnick as main stars, and frankly, the first season of the show, which aired in 2020, was an absolute success.

The series did good in turning a show with quite a simple premise (a private detective and ex-cop solve crimes in Montana) into a total hit.

However, after the success of the first season, the second and third seasons were total disasters, which eventually led to the end of the show.

5. The Idol

The Idol is probably the most controversial show this year and there are many reasons for that. The Weeknd 's first directorial creation had him as a very questionable main character along with Lily Rose-Depp playing the main star of the drama.

The provocative show caused a stir on the Internet, and despite the creators' intentions to make another season, it was canceled.
