5 Comedies Arrive on Netflix in February (3 of Them Are Iconic Romcoms from the 2000s)
In between the award-winning classics, you might want to have some fun.
Just like always, Netflix has a bunch of new movies for you to watch (or rewatch) once they land on the streaming’s platform this month.
This time, it’s not just a couple of compelling releases like Oscar-winning Parasite or a box office hit Sonic the Hedgehog 2; now Netflix is set to bring in some old comedy classics that you have surely been missing seeing even on small screens, accompanied by those long-awaited arrivals that are also likely to become new potential hits.
From Hugh Grant’s 2002 hit romcom to Amy Schumer’s latest comedy flick, Netflix is about to add some titles you might want to consider for your watchlist.
Kinda Pregnant (2025)
Starring comedy legend Amy Schumer, the movie follows Lainy Newton whose pending dream of settling down and starting a family is once again confronted by her friend who, well, makes this dream come true for her own good.
Lainy’s desperation reaches a new level when she, swirled by jealousy, starts wearing a fake baby bump, but things get complicated when shortly after she meets a man of her dreams.
Kinda Pregnant is available on Netflix since February 5.
La Dolce Villa (2025)
Directed by Mean Girls’ Mark Waters, La Dolce Villa is Netflix’s fresh arrival set in a romantic Italian countryside. The movie follows a successful businessman forced to travel to Italy where his daughter has just bought a decaying villa she’s determined to restore.
Trying to talk her out of unnecessary expenses, the worried father considers changing his mind after being introduced to Italian landscapes and a potential romantic interest.
La Dolce Villa will land on Netflix on February 13.
The Nice Guys (2016)
An already legendary buddy action comedy, The Nice Guys stars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe as private investigators in the 1970s Los Angeles where, despite their conflicts with each other, they have to unite their forces for a mysterious investigation.
Ever since the movie first hit theatres almost 10 years ago, Gosling and Crowe have been one of the most iconic duos of the cinema in the last decade, and numerous talks about a potential sequel are still circling around.
For Netflix’s viewers, The Nice Guys has been there since February 1.
Two Weeks Notice (2002)
Another gem from Hugh Grant’s most iconic romcoms from the early 2000s, Two Weeks Notice follows Sandra Bullock’s idealistic lawyer Lucy who starts working with billionaire George Wade with the only purpose to preserve a community center.
The characters’ differences are what make them confront each other at first, but gradually George realises he’s hopeless without Lucy, and the latter starts considering changing her plans when her departure from George’s company gets closer.
Two Weeks Notice has been available for watching on Netflix since February 1.
Miss Congeniality (2000)
Starring Sandra Bullock once again, Donald Petrie’s romcom follows Gracie Hart, a tough special agent for the FBI that tasks her with going undercover to the Miss United States beauty pageant as one of the contestants.
Trying to prevent a terrorist attack at the event, Gracie has to do everything possible to chime in with other contenders — and to embrace a more feminine style which, being a tomboy her whole life, she isn’t quite used to.
Miss Congeniality can already be found on Netflix where the movie landed on February 1.
