The horror in these movies hides in subtle details, such as strange behavior, or the gradual realization that reality is crumbling before your eyes.
1. 'Men', 2022

Harper recently left her abusive partner, who then committed suicide out of resentment. In an attempt to recover from the tragedy and get her life back on track, she moved to a mansion outside the city.

5. 'The Witch', 2015

First, the rotting harvest suggests this, and then their newborn baby, Sam, disappears. The father assumes a wolf took the child, but Katherine believes dark forces are at work.
