Well, he usually plays a little different parts…

Squid Game took the world by storm in 2021 and left everyone obsessed. The unique storyline, amazing cast and perfect visuals, along with the powerful message it sends, made this South Korean show the most watched series on Netflix.

So when the news broke that there would be another season, fans couldn't be happier. On December 26, the new chapter landed on Netflix, and we are sure that everyone just cleared their day to binge it all in one sitting.

Well, for some it may be fair to say that the new season wasn't as good as the first one (as it usually is), but among some highlights of the show there is one thing that's definitely worth mentioning.

The second season brought a lot of new cast members, but Park Sung-hoon was definitely a standout. One of the favorite K-drama actors played a really unusual role of a trans woman, Cho Hyun-ju, who was a sergeant in the past. She played a crucial role in the players' takeover started by Gi-hun.

Park Sung-hoon as Cho Hyun-ju made a huge impact and became the second favorite after the main character. So if you already miss him and want to know more about his acting talents — check out these 5 K-dramas.

1. The Glory (2022)

One of the most popular roles of Park Sung-hoon was in The Glory, where he played the insufferable antagonist Jeon Jae-jun. The show made a huge splash because of its plot. The story revolves around a young woman Moon Dong-eun who was wronged a lot at school and decided to take revenge on her bullies when she grew up.

And guess who was the main bully? Yes, Park Sung Hoon’s Jeon Jae Joon. He and his friends assaulted and mocked her a lot. All his life he was arrogant and insufferable, and that didn’t change even when he grew older. Sung Hoon played his villainous role perfectly.

2. The Kidnapping Day (2023)

The Kidnapping Day is another great K-drama starring Park Sung-hoon. Here he plays a cop, Park Sang-Yoon, who is a good character and one of the protagonists of the series.

The drama tells the story of a desperate man who needs money for his daughter's surgery, so to get it he agrees to kidnap the daughter of a very rich man. But the story takes an unexpected turn...

3. Into The Ring (2020)

This highly rated K-drama stars Park Sung-hoon as Seo Gong Myung. And once again, he proves that he can play any role brilliantly. Gong Myung is an efficient and tough elite officer who can multitask with ease.

But he is also a cold and rigid person who seems unapproachable. He loves the law and tries to do everything by the book, but that's no way to live a human life. And Into the Ring dives deep into that thought.

“I love it right from the quirky characters and humour to the local politics shenanigans. With all the political chaos all around, it was kind of soothing for me to watch the underdog winning here and being able to do something. It was one of my favourites from last year,” Redditor WibblyWobblyWeaver said.

4. Psychopath diary (2019)

Another amazing role of Park Sung-hoon is Seo In Woo in Psychopath diary. He actually is the psychopath in the story, a cold and meticulous one too. He is the one who accidentally loses his diary at the murder scene and it ends up in the wrong hands.

The diary is found by a man who is about to commit suicide, thinking he has nothing to lose. He ends up in an accident, after which he gets amnesia and wakes up with the diary in his hands. It takes nothing for him to believe that he himself is the psychopath…

5. Queen of Tears (2024)

Queen of Tears is last year's hit drama in which Park Sung Hoon starred as Yoon Eun Seong. He plays a crucial role in the life of a married couple, Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In. Their love life is questioned when they end up in a relationship crisis, but once again they survive against all odds.
