5 Movies You Should Watch Before They Leave Netflix in March
Your favorite action flick or South Korean classic might be among the projects that will be removed from Netflix’s library at the end of the month.
This year, Netflix keeps its disheartening trend alive, preparing a schedule of famous movies and shows’ departure from its platform for good every month. Luckily, the streamer is kind enough to let everyone else know about this schedule as well, so Netflix’s viewers have some time to add those films to their watchlist before they’re forever gone.
This month will see some major and long-awaited arrivals on Netflix, but will also witness other popular movies, with Pierce Brosnan ’s epic thriller and Park Chan-wook's legendary action film among them, making an attempt to find another streaming home.
Though you still have a couple of weeks to keep up with Netflix’s schedule, you better hurry up with this anyway.
The Machine (2023) — March 23

Unfairly panned by critics, Peter Atencio’s action comedy is a charming and entertaining watch you might not want to miss on Netflix. Starring stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer, The Machine recounts the actor’s own experience of getting into some major trouble while on a college semester abroad in Russia.
More than 20 years later, the incident backfires when both Bert and his estranged father are kidnapped by the Russian mafia and brought back to Russia.
Oldboy (2003) — March 24
One of the greatest films of all time, Park Chan-wook's action thriller is loosely based on a manga of the same name and follows Oh Dae-su, a man locked up in a cell looking like a hotel room for 15 years straight.
Not knowing who his captors are, Oh Dae-su knows he must fight back as it’s clear that they deliberately kept him barely alive all these years. All of a sudden, he’s finally released, but, instead of enjoying deserved freedom, Oh Dae-su seeks to avenge those who took 15 years of life from him.
No Escape (2015) — March 25
Despite not being a major award bait at all, No Escape might still be a truly fascinating option for those who want some more action-packed stories on the screen.
The movie stars Lake Bell and Owen Wilson as a couple deciding to leave the US for Asia to live there with their two daughters, but the start of their family life’s new chapter soon goes down to attempts to survive as they all get involved in a major coup.
No Escape also features Pierce Brosnan in a supporting role, so fans of the genre might also get tempted by this too.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) — March 30
With a star-studded cast that comprises Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown and Rebecca Hall, Adam Wingard’s epic sci-fi sees two famous cinematic monsters colliding as the fate of the entire world now hangs by a thread, depending on what the outcome will be.
The movie received accolades from both critics and viewers, proving that there’s nothing else for a genre fan to ask; Godzilla vs. Kong is another impressive film experience with jaw-dropping visuals, action-packed sequences and the storyline many have been waiting for years to come to the screen.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) — March 30
One of the best instalments in George Miller’s Mad Max franchise, the movie is also regarded as one of the most acclaimed action films in the past couple of decades. Fury Road stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron as Max and Furiosa teaming up to survive and fight for justice in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Despite some doubting the idea of Miller to return to the franchise 30 years after the previous instalment, Fury Road proved it definitely was worth the shot and eventually spawned a prequel released back in 2024.
