5 Netflix Original Movies and Shows Scheduled for Release in April

Next month will be a great time for those waiting for two hit shows’ anticipated return.
Streamers are currently wrapping things up with March releases, and the updated lists of new arrivals are already there for you to check out.
With tens of movies and shows dropped every month, Netflix keeps up with its tradition of letting its viewers get ready in advance, preparing the audiences for something truly big out of an impressive amount of around 50 original movies and series.
That said, April will witness the long-awaited comeback of several hit shows with new instalments, as well as the arrival of compelling new movies that might be entering Netflix’s global top quite soon.
Pulse — April 3
A rare medical drama is coming to the streamer’s platform in less than a week and is about to give its potential viewers a fresh perspective of an adrenaline-driven routine in a hospital.
Starring Willa Fitzgerald, Justina Machado, Colin Woodell and Jessie T. Usher among others, Pulse will delve into professional and personal matters of doctors and staff at a busy trauma centre in Miami amidst the imminent devastating hurricane.
The series’ first season comprises 10 episodes which will be released on Netflix all at once.
Black Mirror — April 10
One of the biggest TV hits of the past couple of decades, the beloved sci-fi anthology is coming back with its season 7 after roughly 2 years of break.
The details are still under wraps, but the new instalment is rumoured to become Black Mirror’s most authentic season of all, possibly going back to his roots and turning into a pure sci-fi.
Created by Charlie Brooker, the series is considered a bold commentary on painful social issues, the long list of which will have something else added when the seventh season is finally there.
Resident Playbook — April 12
Fans of medical dramas should definitely keep that Netflix subscription next month as the streamer is getting one more similar show, this time a follow-up to a South Korean hit series Hospital Playlist.
With the latter concluding back in 2021, fans were eager to see something more to the story, which is what Resident Playbook will be there for, depicting everyday life of several professors and doctors in a university hospital.
The upcoming show will also tackle South Korea’s social issues and see the lead characters handling their challenging job in the midst of the country’s low birth era.
You — April 24
After several gruesome murders, Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg is set to return for the one last time in You’s fifth and final season.
Still following the storyline developed in Caroline Kepnes’ eponymous book, the new episodes will see Joe coming back to New York as a rich man, now finally willing to settle down with no one else being murdered on the way.
However, the serial killer’s troubled past is unlikely to let him live peacefully, which is probably a sign that You’s final instalment will be the most shocking one yet.
Havoc — April 25
The list of new crime thrillers on Netflix doesn’t end with You only as another star-studded and action-packed story is coming to the streamer’s platform in just several weeks.
Starring Tom Hardy, Forest Whitaker and Timothy Olyphant, Havoc will follow Hardy’s Walker, an experienced detective embarking on a mission to save a politician’s estranged son while dealing with all the dangers his city’s dark web of conspiracies can offer.
