5 New Netflix Arrivals You Just Can’t Miss in 2025
Netflix is winning us over once again.
2025 is a good time to be a streaming services’ frequent user, but Netflix ’s subscribers are getting all the long-awaited gems this year. For some of those flicks and shows the streaming giant has no exact release date yet, but fans can at least come up with their own calculations and see when it’s time to get prepared for another big watch.
From Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s new crime thriller to Guillermo del Toro 's mystical tale and Cillian Murphy ’s heartbreaking drama — it seems like Netflix will have it all to persuade its users to keep that subscription for another year.
Frankenstein
Guillermo del Toro's fans have been waiting for the director’s version of Mary Shelley's novel for more than a year now, and the wait will finally be over when Frankenstein lands on Netflix sometime in November.
The highly-anticipated movie has been del Toro’s big dream ever since he was a child, which is probably why the upcoming film might have already stunned its potential viewers with its grandeur.
Apart from all the mystery that surrounds the director’s personal take on the famous plot, the movie also has a star-studded cast that comprises Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, Felix Kammerer and Christoph Waltz.
The Seven Dials Mystery
Another mysterious classic is coming to small screens, with Agatha Christie’s novel titled The Seven Dials Mystery now becoming Netflix’s new show.
Starring Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman, The Seven Dials Mystery follows Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent who gets involved in a horrendous murder that occurred because of a harmless joke; she now will have to embark on her own investigation which will have a major impact on her personal life too.

The Thursday Murder Club
This crime comedy movie also has little to know about its release date on Netflix, though the premiere is confirmed to happen this year, and fans just can’t wait to see the star-packed whodunnit.

Things change radically when a mysterious murders shatters their own world.
RIP
The famous duo of friends and cinematic partners in crime will be back on Netflix this year, with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon starring together in a new crime thriller RIP based on real events.
The movie revolves around a group of Miami police officers who discover millions of dollars hidden in an abandoned house; soon the finding causes a disarray in the team, the members of which realise that there’s probably no one who they can trust in there.
Steve
Coming right after Cillian Murphy’s previous heart-shattering drama Small Things Like These, Steve is yet another movie that will potentially show the actor’s tragic side at its fullest.
Directed by Max Porter and based on the latter’s 2023 novella Shy, the film will see Murphy’s Steve, a headteacher in charge of a school for boys with societal and behavioural difficulties, trying to help his troubled and traumatised student Shy while also struggling with his own mental health problems.
