At the heart of the series is a never-ending drama between new money and old money. The Russels on one side and the van Rhijn family on the other, along with many other families claiming whose world it was in 1880s New York City.

4. Bleak House (2005)

Another British drama set in the 19th century, this time highlighting the real injustice of the English legal system. This is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel that features the amazing Gillian Anderson.

5. Yentl (1983)

An iconic film starring Barbra Streisand and Mandy Patinkin at their best. The movie follows the story of a Jewish girl named Yentl who fooled everyone into thinking she was a boy so she could attend religious school. Goals, right?
