The film was warmly received by critics, unlike Steve Jobs who didn’t like the film, nor the screenplay. However, he appreciated Wyle’s performance and admitted their likeness. He even played a little prank on the 1999 Macworld convention audience, when he asked Wyle to dress like him and appear on stage for the first minutes of his presentation.

Throughout the films, Flynn embarks on various quests in order to recover or discover powerful relics and stop the bad guys from using them with malicious intent. Using his quick wit and extensive knowledge he slowly overcomes his fears, fights bad guys, and falls in love.
