The Kate Hudson-led sports comedy has been dominating the streamer’s top charts for a couple of weeks now.

The end of February has marked the arrival of Netflix ’s biggest hit to rule the global top charts in the upcoming weeks.

Released on the streamer’s platform on February 27, Running Point is a sports comedy series co-created by The Office ’s star Mindy Kaling and starring Kate Hudson as a former party girl whose life is thrown upside down when she becomes the one in charge of her family's pro basketball team.

The show has remained among Netflix’s most watched series ever since its premiere, so those who have already binge-watched Running Point’s first season might now want to turn to something similar. If you’re among them, this list is your life saver.

GLOW

Unlike Running Point that explores the behind-the-scenes issues of big sports, GLOW centres on its frontrunners and shows several actresses becoming female wrestlers for a show called “The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling”.

Set in the 1980s, the series makes its leads face some pretty annoying problems of the time, as the characters are dealing with sexism, competition and scandals, but still in a very comical manner.

Additionally, GLOW is also a great find for those who enjoy the 80s music and miss it in the modern shows.

GLOW is available for watching on Netflix.

A League of Their Own

Adapted from a 1992 movie of the same name, the 2022 comedy drama show is set in 1943 when the first women’s baseball league is being formed.

The team’s catcher Carson Shaw leaves a small town, pursuing her dream of becoming a professional baseball player while her husband is at war; in the meantime, African-American woman Maxine "Max" Chapman struggles to do the same as she can’t even be considered for representing The Rockford Peaches anyway.

A League of Their Own tackles many burning issues like racism, sexism and homophobia, and eventually had a second season greenlit, though it later was scrapped due to the Hollywood strikes back in 2023.

The show’s first season is available on Prime Video.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Even though the show isn’t about sports, it’s still yet another story about a woman trying to become a professional in the field that back in the day was dominated by men.

Starring Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel follows Miriam "Midge" Maisel, a New York housewife who decides to try her best in stand-up comedy after a messy divorce.

Just like any other show that deals with all the vicious stereotypes about women, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel makes another bold attempt to debunk all of them, showing that women can be just as good as men (or even better) in something they weren’t allowed to do for way too long.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s five seasons can be found on Prime Video.

The Mindy Project

Starring Running Point’s co-creator Mindy Kaling, the show can offer a lot to those who previously enjoyed the Kate Hudson-led Netflix hit, matching with the latter in its chaotic humor and intention to lead its female protagonist to the success she’s striving for no matter what.

The Mindy Project follows Mindy Lahiri, an aspiring doctor trying to navigate her life and career among some weird co-workers in a small medical practice in New York City.

Surrounded by male fellow doctors, Mindy is exposed to the same stereotypes about women in the field that for some reason belonged only to men, though she’s fighting through it to eventually become a boss on her own.

The Mindy Project is available for watching on Hulu.

Why Women Kill

Launched back in 2019, the show turned into a major hit thanks to its first season following three different women of different eras who lived in the same house in Pasadena.

There might be something wrong about the mansion itself as all three female protagonists find themselves guilty of their husbands’ homicide after finding out about their affairs.

Despite bringing up a controversial outcome of the whole matter, Why Women Kill tries to find an answer for the question put into the show’s title, offering a different perspective with a grain of humour, as always.

Why Women Kill’s both seasons are on Paramount+.
