There are so many more instant pick-me-ups that are worth watching.

When we think of classic sitcoms, there are not many that immediately come to mind. For many people, their knowledge stops at Friends, How I Met Your Mother and The Office.

Chances are, however, that you've seen all of them multiple times and your brain is screaming for a change.

Luckily, there is no shortage of comedy series, and there are many less popular ones that are still worth every minute spent watching.

Grab your favorite blanket and a bowl of popcorn and binge these shows next weekend.

The Good Place

This TV show is relatively new, having premiered in 2016, but it's still as much of a hit as your '90s and '00s sitcoms.

Thanks to the hilarity and charisma of Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, and Jameela Jamil, you'll quickly fall in love with the characters and won't be able to turn it off.

Brooklyn 99

A little less popular than the mastodons of the genre, but still a widely recognized sitcom that follows the daily struggles of the NYPD's 99th Precinct in general and Det. Jake Peralta in particular.

Brilliantly written, the show would instantly lift your spirits and give you many lines to quote in your own daily life.

Seinfeld

This is your classic '90s comedy if you're looking for one. Some people say the show gets significantly better after season 5, while others believe the only season that's not that good is the first one.

Either way, you can skip as much as you want before you get to the good stuff, because you won't miss any of the action. That's the beauty of Seinfeld for you!

IT Crowd

This much more modern British series would be a good laugh for anyone, but especially those who work in technology.

4 seasons of 6 episodes each would make a quick weekend binge, but the memory of how good this show was will stay with viewers much longer than that.

Superstore

The show about the lives of supermarket workers may not sound that exciting, but it is absolutely hilarious. Superstore is also filled with heartwarming moments and conversations that will inspire you to be a better person.

It's a great combination when you're looking for something fun, yet soulful.
