When D'oh! is not enough.

There's no doubt that The Simpsons is definitely not just an animated show, but a real cultural phenomenon of the 20th and 21st centuries. The show has been on air since 1989 and there’s hardly a person in this world who hasn't seen at least one episode of the cartoon.

The Simpsons focuses on a family that consists of five people, Homer and Marge are the parents of the family, and Bart, Lisa and Maggie are the kids.

Each of them has their own personality traits that are exaggerated in every way at level 100. For example, the gag of Homer being insanely stupid has gone so far that he doesn't even know what his job is, and he's the one in charge of safety at a power plant, for a moment.

Lisa is a talented girl, although she comes off as an annoying know-it-all most of the time, Bart is a born prankster, and Maggie seems a little too smart for her age. Of all of them, Marge seems to be the most sane person, but there are many storylines that make her seem a little too shallow.

What makes the show so great is the consistency in everything: we always know what to expect from any of the show’s characters, except for when the changes are a part of the narrative.

What's more, we always know what they're going to say, and sometimes we borrow their catchphrases and make them our own. These 5 are the best examples.

There are definitely many more phrases to catch up on, but these are just at the top.
