It’s got twists and surprising plotlines, great acting, and wonderful actors, and most importantly—it is a breath of fresh air for Korean rom-coms. Female protagonist

We already talked about A-Jeong and the way this FL is refreshing to the show’s dynamics. Thanks to the great writing, the character comes alive every time she’s on screen with clever lines and very human behavior.

It’s like we want to scream, “What are you doing?!” whenever she does something we do not agree with, but at the same time, we don’t—‘cause it makes total sense for the character if we think of her as a person, and not another woman in K-drama universe. She’s rapidly becoming our favorite!

ML & FL interaction

A-Jeong and Ji-han just work. They make sense. Don’t get us wrong—it’s a typical enemies-to-lovers scenario, but boy, do the showrunners know how to get these two to interact on screen and electrify everything around them!

They have good chemistry, bringing out the worst/best in each other. They also have a lot of screen time together, so they’ve plenty of opportunities to smooth out that enemies-to-lovers transition.

Great acting

Actors are what make the show outshine every other ongoing K-drama. They’re really good. If you want to feel like you’re watching real life instead of a staged TV show, Wedding Impossible is definitely the show for you.

Problematic ML

Male protagonists are usually perfect in K-dramas because we’re supposed to root for them. Not this one, though. Ji-han comes off as evil and manipulative from the first episodes, but he gets better (at least in the eyes of the FL). He has good and bad qualities alike, making him stand out among picture-perfect K-drama leads.

Sibling dynamics

And no, we’re not talking about older siblings. Ji-han and Do-han are exactly what you’re hoping to see on screen when it comes to brotherly love: instead of polished Hollywood therapy-speak sibling conversations written by someone who’s never had a sibling, we have fierce love and meddling in each other’s lives. Oh, and some golden moments that scream typical sibling behavior.
