There’s nothing else like it… but there are some shows just as absurd.

If there's one thing that's very real to every fan of the show that has ended, it's that you start to miss it from the moment you finish watching the last episode. The more you think about the characters, the more you think about a story that is now over, and the more you wish the writers had given the universe some kind of extension.

Unfortunately for all Riverdale fans, the show is unlikely to get any spin-offs or sequels in the near future. However, there are some TV shows that can help you distract yourself from mourning and quickly move on to another fandom instead.

Here are five shows to watch if you're feeling down after Riverdale's finale.

Teen Wolf

The show that did werewolves justice and finally made them just as cool as vampires after Twilight. If you are interested in teenage drama that has enough horror and mystery to keep you hooked, as well as the movie to tie all loose ends, you have to check this one out.

Glee

If you were always more interested in the highly unrealistic and inappropriate at times high-school element of Riverdale, and not the supernatural one, Glee is exactly what you need to distract yourself. Bonus: every episode is a musical episode if you are watching Glee!

Veronica Mars

A little blast from the past, coming straight from the 2000’s. Veronica Mars is not only an iconic drama that explores all the hardships in the lives of average high schoolers but also a story of a mysterious murder investigation. This one will get you instantly hooked.

Pretty Little Liars

Another story that involves a mysterious death, and an investigation that you can become a part of. Pretty Little Liars must be the closest to Riverdale in the number of main characters to follow, and in the intrigue that it holds for at least a few seasons.

Nancy Drew

Another The CW production that unfortunately ended in 2023 is the TV show based on a famous book franchise. The show follows the titular character Nancy and a few of her friends in a murder investigation that gets more and more mysterious the deeper she digs in.
