The Rope Curse 3
4.9 on IMDb
Picking up where its predecessor left off, The Rope Curse 3 is another haunting tale of demonic forces and exorcisms rooted in Taiwanese folklore. The third installment follows an up-and-coming parkour athlete from a family of exorcists who becomes involved in a series of frightening supernatural occurrences at an eerie hotel.
Although the story attempts to explore and integrate other cultures, and rides on the popularity of the previous film, many felt that it missed the mark when it came to overall execution and general intrigue within the story.
Suzzanna Kliwon Friday Night

A modern remake of the 1986 film Malam Jumat Kliwon, Suzzanna Kilwon Friday Night takes some of the key plot points of the original supernatural horror and breathes some fresh and chilly air into this Indonesian horror with curses, shamans, and a vengeful resurrection.
The movie follows the journey of a heavily pregnant woman who is cursed by her husband's jealous first wife to die a horrible death after giving birth, but her story doesn't end there. A demonic Suzzanna returns from beyond the grave, seeking her baby and revenge. The only thing that could make demonic possession more terrifying is when it happens to a child, and Bayi Ajaib's depiction of this made it an instant hit with fans.
A remake of the 1982 original of the same name, whose title translates to "Magical Baby," Bayi Ajaib follows a wealthy man in the village of Hirupbagja whose reputation and family come under attack after his young son is possessed by a vengeful demonic spirit. Bayi Ajaib was another excellent addition to the Indonesian horror scene, receiving praise for its well-executed scares and theatrical elements.
Killer Book Club
