These behind-the-scenes facts will melt your heart just like the movies did.

1. The Notebook ( 2004)

Nicholas Sparks, the author of the best-selling novel on which the movie is based, told a very touching story about his wife's grandparents, who became the prototype for Noah and Allie.

He admitted that parts of their love story became the subject of his book because he was mesmerized by the two people, who spent 60 years together and still looked at each other with the same eyes full of love.

2. A Cinderella Story (2004)

In one of the interviews, Hillary Duff admitted that she had a crush on her co-star Chad Michael Murray during the filming.

While the actors had to play each other's love interests, Hillary experienced real feelings for her on-screen boyfriend. She also said that she was super nervous when it came to the kissing scenes.

Well, who wouldn't be nervous around Chad Michael Murray, right?

3. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

Co-writer Karen McCullah Lutz was the one who came up with the title of the movie, and it wasn't out of the blue.

Karen admitted that in high school she made a list of things she hated about her then-boyfriend and before writing a script she referred to it and it immediately became a basis for the rom-com.

Also, she and her ex-boyfriend are still on good terms and he is very proud to be a part of such an iconic project.

4. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

Renée Zellweger had to go all-in for her famous single British woman role. It turned out as a surprise for the whole crew that Renée was in fact never British.

She dove so deep into her accent classes to deliver an outstanding performance that the whole cast and crew didn't even know what she actually sounded like.

That's why when she pulled out her Taxes accent everyone was too stunned to speak.

5. Pretty Woman (1990)

Richard Gere was about to lose a role of his life by his own uncertainty. The iconic duo could never exist as Richard didn't want to take part in the movie.

But this one sit-down with Julia Roberts changed his mind, as she convinced him that it would be worth it. Always trust a woman's gut.

6. Always Be My Maybe (2019)

When it comes to Keanu Reeves he always tries to give his best and this movie is one of the proofs.

The director of the rom-com, Nahnatchka Khan, revealed that Keanu put a lot of effort into his cameo — he made up almost every line his character says in the movie and was constantly involved during the filming process.

The idea with lens-less glasses — it's his too.

7. 13 Going On 30 (2004)

Mark Ruffalo almost turned down the role of Matty after reading the part with Thriller dancing. He admitted that he didn't want to do the movie when he found out about that one scene.

Jennifer Garner literally had to pull him on stage to do the dance, and even though they had rehearsals and dance coaches when the day of the shoot came, Mark was very embarrassed to do it.

It turns out that Matty's shy face was in fact Mark's.
