Why are these great shows so little talked about? Let's change that!

Amazon's Prime Video has a ton of great shows available to subscribers at the click of a button. Of course, the first shows that come to mind are the studio's flagships like The Rings of Power and The Wheel of Time, The Boys and Good Omens. Each has received critical and viewer acclaim in its own way, cementing Prime Video's status as one of the leading streaming services.

But among all these popular titles, there are many lesser-known ones. However, the lack of high ratings at the time of their release does not speak to their quality, as Prime's library includes dozens of great but obscure series with Rotten Tomatoes ratings of an impressive 100%. Here are the best of them, available to watch in November 2023.

In 1995, MTV aired an animated adaptation of Sam Kieth's comic book series of the same name, The Maxx, but almost 30 years later, hardly anyone remembers the show. The plot follows a homeless vagabond who exists in two worlds: our own and a parallel one where he assumes the guise of a powerful protector guarding the Jungle Queen.

This American Life is one of the most entertaining radio shows in the entertainment industry, and in 2007 it got a TV adaptation of the same name, led by host Ira Glass. In each episode of this documentary series, the This American Life team has collected the most ordinary stories from all over the U.S., like a son who gets revenge on his family by making a documentary, or a man who spends hours in his family's mausoleum.

4. Utopia (2013, 2 seasons)

In 2013, out of nowhere came a very unusual show, Utopia, which unfortunately 10 years later remained forgotten and barely mentioned by anyone on the net. At the center of events is a group of friends who come into possession of a mysterious manuscript that continues the cult comic book that is believed to have predicted many global events. However, one by one, the friends either disappear or are killed. They must not only protect the manuscript, but also save themselves from the sinister organization that is after them.

Outside of the UK, this comedy series is virtually unknown, so we decided to bring this hidden gem to a wider audience. Detectorists follows two metal detecting enthusiasts who fancy themselves pro archaeologists. Constantly at each other's throats, the friends navigate their lives in rural Essex, hoping to find something of great historical value and strike it rich.

2. The Other One (2020, 2 seasons)

This, alas, little-known British sitcom follows two half-sisters who discover their biological parentage after the death of their father, who turns out to have lived in two families. Furious, they not only struggle to keep from going down each other's throats, but also learn that their father may have had a third affair....

1. With Love (2021, 2 seasons)

This romcom focuses on the Latino family and follows two siblings, Lily and George Diaz. Both navigate their family and personal lives, searching for love and facing their neighbors for whom love is not the last word either. In addition to the classic romantic lines, the series does an excellent job of portraying queer relationships.
