Charlie gets a job selling merchandise for the heavy metal band Doxxxology, which is going on a tour. The band's biggest hit, Staplehead, is one that the musicians themselves are tired of, yet drunken spectators regularly request it.
The lead singer, Ruby, is close to despair, especially since the other band members are ready to leave. Then, a new, young drummer named Gavin joins the band.
During the concert, the drummer dies when an amplifier sends an electric current through his body. Charlie doesn't believe this was an accident and starts looking for those who would benefit from the drummer's death.
