Charlie gets a job selling merchandise for the heavy metal band Doxxxology, which is going on a tour. The band's biggest hit, Staplehead, is one that the musicians themselves are tired of, yet drunken spectators regularly request it.

The lead singer, Ruby, is close to despair, especially since the other band members are ready to leave. Then, a new, young drummer named Gavin joins the band.
