Suicide Squad, Terminator and corporate work in a dungeon.

Summer is traditionally considered a low season in the anime world, but this year we can expect a sufficient number of new title premieres as well as the release of new seasons of already familiar series.

1. Suicide Squad Isekai

Release Date: June 26

A team of supervillains assembled by secret agent Amanda Waller is sent to another dimension. But something goes wrong, and the team is cut off from Waller and the rest of the wardens.

Now the team has to figure out how to complete the mission and, more importantly, get home before the bombs installed "just in case" on their necks go off and could easily blow their heads off.

The first three episodes of the planned ten have already been released and have received positive reviews. So for fans of superheroes and anime, this is the perfect project.

2. Oshi No Ko

Release Date: July 3

The return of the reincarnated twins will take place a little over a year after the release of the first season. The series will once again be dedicated to the lives of siblings Aquamarine and Ruby: the former strives to find the killer of his idol mother, for which he was forced to enter show business, while Ruby begins to build her own musical career in her mother's footsteps.

The first season laid the groundwork for the conflict and became one of the brightest titles of 2023.

3. Nier: Automata Ver1.1a, Season 2

Release Date: July 5

In the distant future, androids fight with alien robots for the lives of earthlings who have escaped to the moon. The focus is on two androids, 2B and 9S, who are busy collecting data and helping the Earth resistance.

But the situation turns out to be much more complicated: some robots have long since left the war, and the mechanical enemies of the Earthlings have created humanoid creatures called Adam and Eve. 2B and 9S will have to figure it all out.

The adaptation of the cult game about fighting androids returns after a one-year hiatus. The show itself does not simply adapt the original story, but in many ways expands the plot. The first season ended on an intriguing note and deviated greatly from the original, which makes the upcoming season all the more interesting.

4. Dungeon People

Release Date: July 6

The daughter of an adventurer, Clay has grown up exploring dungeons herself. Her interest was rekindled when her father disappeared during one of his travels: now Clay not only explores dangerous labyrinths, but does so with a special purpose.

But when she manages to get really far, the girl is captured by the main boss. But instead of killing her, he decides to make her the administrator of the dungeon – and Clay begins a new and unexpected career.

Dungeon People offers a fresh take on the familiar classic fantasy about adventurers and their quests. One of the biggest hits of the spring was Delicious in Dungeon, in which a team of adventurers cooked the creatures they encountered on their journey. Chances are that the "corporate" dungeon will be no less interesting.

5. Grendizer U

Release Date: July 5

Mysterious objects have appeared in the sky above the earth. They are investigated by Dr. Amon, who is assisted by Daisuke – the young man who woke up in the desert with no memory. However, the investigation does not take long: it turns out that aggressive aliens from the planet Vega are attacking the planet.

At the sight of the enemies, Daisuke's memories awakened: in fact, he is Duke Fleed from the planet of the same name, which was destroyed by Vega in the past. And he came to Earth with Grendizer – a powerful robot capable of saving the planet. Here begins the confrontation between Vega and Fleed, the outcome of which is not so easy to predict.

6. Tower of God, Season 2

Release Date: July 7

The Tower of God is a special place where the strongest and bravest go in the hope that their dreams and desires will come true. It is incredibly dangerous here: once inside, there is no turning back, and the path to the top is full of traps and trials.

Among the conquerors of the tower are Rachel and Twenty-fifth Bam: they have met both friends and enemies on their journey. Many have died on the way to the treasured goal, but there are those who do not even think about giving up.

The second season of the adaptation of the manhwa of the same name was released four years after the first. In the meantime, the studio and the production team have changed, but there are still high hopes for the show – the first season is remembered by many as one of the best titles of 2020.

7. Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Hen

Release Date: July 8

Suguru is not your typical hero. He is lazy and clumsy, and he gets into stupid situations all the time. And yet he has opportunities to prove himself: Suguru regularly fights in wrestling matches.

The outcome of these matches decides the fate of the Earth and confirms Suguru's right to a status he did not even know he had: Suguru is in fact the prince of the planet Kinniku, the home of superheroes.

Although it was published almost half a century ago, this comedy manga with an unusual character is still very popular.

8. Time Patrol Bon, Season 2

Release Date: July 17

Bon Namihira is an ordinary high school student. Everything changes when the boy suddenly becomes a time traveler – he receives this ability from a special agency. Now Bon is forced to travel between times and eras, where he must save people along with Ream Stream and Buyoyon.

Netflix has presented a new adaptation of the classic manga. The show is already in its second season and follows the same structure as its 1989 predecessor: each episode is a separate adventure.

9. Terminator Zero

Release Date: August 29
