The hopes for season 7 are still high, but not everyone's ready for the potential price.

What would you choose between your favorite show being canceled and the same show being moved to another network?

Well, the answer seems obvious to most, but fans of 911 feel like the consequences of the rumored move could be much darker than anyone expects.

The rumors about 911's possible move from Fox to ABC started with Deadline's reporting that Fox is in tough negotiations.

As of now, 911 is in its sixth season, and the license for it is in the seven figures, so the stakes are extremely high. If Fox does not pick up the show for future seasons, it will inevitably move on.

One of the most suitable networks in that case would be ABC, a sibling of 911's producing company 20th Television.

The vast majority of 911 fans don't see any danger in such a move, but there are some who are more cautious and think that ABC might make some changes to the show.

"The only thing that worries me about ABC is that there are gonna be definitely some big deaths, possibly more than one, if the show moves. ABC loves to kill their characters," Redditor pinkhairedlarry said, probably referring to many times ABC's most long-staying show Grey's Anatomy dealt with its characters in most painful ways.

Luckily, the change of network wouldn't necessarily mean big changes in producers and writing teams, so there's not much for fans to worry about.

Although ABC has a history of getting rid of fan-favorite characters without giving them a happy ending, that doesn't mean the same fate awaits 911.

In fact, some would argue that killing off characters is not exactly ABC's style, but Shondaland's, as other big shows like The Rookie haven't had any major deaths aside from the one caused by an actor's sudden departure.

Whether 911 would stay on Fox or move to ABC, fans continue to hope for renewal news in the near future.

As of now, you can tune in to Fox on April 10th for the new Season 6 episode, or catch up on older episodes on Fox online, Hulu, Vudu and Prime Video.
