From Ralph Macchio to 'Karate Kid: Legends' — Where to Watch It All

You can track all films, series, and the Legends release.
I’ve always loved revisiting The Karate Kid movies, and I was surprised to realize just how big the franchise really is. There are six live-action films:
- The Karate Kid (1984)
- The Karate Kid Part II (1986)
- The Karate Kid Part III (1989)
- The Next Karate Kid (1994)
- The Karate Kid (2010)
- Karate Kid: Legends (2025)
Plus, there’s the Cobra Kai series (2018–2025), which I’ve been binge-watching recently. Honestly, it’s amazing how the story has evolved while still keeping the nostalgia alive.
How I Watch The Karate Kid
For me, streaming is the easiest way to revisit these classics. I usually use:
- Netflix for the first two films.
- Amazon Prime Video & Apple TV+ when I want to rent or buy all the movies, including Karate Kid: Legends.
- Fandango At Home & Plex are also handy if I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to switch devices.
It’s so convenient — I can watch the originals or the newest movie anytime I feel like diving back into Daniel’s world.
How Old Was Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid?
I’ve always wondered how old Ralph Macchio really was when he played Daniel LaRusso. Turns out, he was 22 years old while playing a high schooler! That makes his performance even more impressive — he totally sold the teenage angst and excitement.
Where to Watch Karate Kid: Legends
Karate Kid: Legends premiered in theaters on May 30, 2025, and if it’s missed on the big screen, it will be available to rent or buy digitally from July 7, 2025. Netflix is expected to stream it around September 25, 2025.
Can’t wait to see how it connects with Cobra Kai and brings the franchise forward for a new generation.
