A Love Other Than Yours spent 14 episodes asking whether a couple ten years in is still in love or just used to each other. The finale answers with the weather.

KBS2 and Prime Video's A Love Other Than Yours premiered September 12, 2026, with Seo Kang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin as Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do, a couple in their tenth year of dating. He's an assistant manager at Hunmin Snacks who thinks the relationship is unbreakable. She's a once-promising film director in a slump who finds herself drawn to someone new, per The Week.

The production team pitched it as a realistic melodrama about long love, and the 14th episode stays true to that. It gives a clear answer about Ho and Mi-do and a looser one about everyone else. Spoilers for the finale from here.

How the finale ends

The last episode opens in the church where Ho and Mi-do's one-month dating deal began, and they end it there. Then the story jumps two years:

  • Mi-do: She's teaching now, and when she runs into attorney Han Tae-seung (Lee Joo-ahn), they kiss.
  • Ho: He crosses paths with his coworker Park Su-a (Jo A-ram) again and kisses her.
  • The goodbye: On a beach, Ho tells Mi-do they won't see each other again.
  • The gift: Before he moves out, Ho leaves Mi-do an old sketchbook with a drawing of her asleep in class from their school days.

Mi-do gets the last word in voiceover. From now on, she says, they'll wait for spring instead of the first snow.

So who ends up together?

Not Ho and Mi-do. The finale ends their relationship and keeps it ended, sketchbook and all.

The new pairings are more open. The show never states that Mi-do and Tae-seung or Ho and Su-a are together for good, but it gives each of them a kiss two years after the breakup, which is about as clear as a realistic melodrama gets. The one wrinkle is Ho's line about coming back to Korea because he couldn't bring his feelings down to zero percent, and the finale never quite says who those feelings are for.

Why spring, not snow

The first snow of the year has been Ho and Mi-do's anniversary since early in the series. They celebrated nine of them and broke up before the tenth.

Ten years of anniversaries ran on the first snow. Mi-do ends the show choosing a season that's never belonged to anyone.

Mi-do's debut film, the one that made her a promising director in the first place, was called After Spring Comes Winter. Her last line runs it in reverse. After two years and a winter that didn't bring anyone back, she's done waiting for snow.
