You can never get enough of two things: Adam Sandler, and Adam Sandler’s comedies.

You know this feeling when you want to watch something but you are not quite sure what it is you want? Well, if so, then maybe you should take this advice: tune into any Adam Sandler movie and be ready to just chill.

There are a lot of people who find his movies a little cringeworthy, but is that a bad thing? When you know exactly what to expect from a movie, it can't be a disappointment, right? However, this particular rom-com, released in 2004, isn’t just your average genre representative.

In March, Netflix will add the beloved comedy 50 First Dates, so it's time to remember this critically panned masterpiece. The film stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, two of Hollywood's most iconic comedic talents. Directed by Peter Segal, it tells the story of Henry Roth, a marine veterinarian who falls for Lucy Whitmore. But there’s a catch.

After a tragic accident, Lucy suffers from short-term memory loss. So everyday she wakes up thinking that it’s the same day over and over again. The situation makes it all so much more difficult for Henry to woo her. So he has to find inventive ways to make her fall in love with him each new day.

It's a perfect movie that balances humor, romance, and emotional depth in a way that resonates with audiences of all ages. The central theme of 50 First Dates is the power of enduring love and personal sacrifice against seemingly unbreakable odds.

After so many years, the movie remains a fan favorite for many reasons. It's not a silly comedy, and it's not a typical love story, and it's also great that the creators didn't come up with some kind of magical happy finale. They let Lucy adjust to her life with a condition, but with the help of a person who loves her to the moon and back.

“Really sweet and funny film, despite having a sort of sad premise. Great chemistry from Sandler and Barrymore. Beautiful locations. Sean Astin is hilarious as the lisping bodybuilder. Rob Schneider as a Hawaiian stereotype is funny, but I understand if actual Hawaiians hate it. One of those films I will always watch if it’s on,” Redditor spiderinside said.

50 First Dates is available to stream on Netflix since March 1.
