After 14 Years, 'Dexter's Iconic Character Returned in the 'Resurrection' Finale

The sequel brought back one of the most iconic serial killers from the original series.
In the final episode of Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection, the maniac from the original Dexter unexpectedly returned.
He was the main villain in the first season of the original series, released in 2006. The last time he haunted Dexter as a "ghost" was in Season 6 in 2011.
'Dexter: Resurrection' Saw the Return of Many Characters From the Original Series
Dexter: Resurrection is a direct continuation of Dexter: New Blood, the sequel to Dexter. Dexter broke the code of the vigilante and asked his son, Harrison, to shoot him, but survived.
He fell into a coma for ten weeks, during which time he was visited by the "ghosts" of past enemies, including the Trinity Killer/Arthur Mitchell and Miguel Prado.
Detective James Doakes from the Miami Police Department also appeared. He tried to prove that Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher. When Dexter woke up, his adoptive father, Harry, began accompanying him.
What Happened in the Finale of 'Dexter: Resurrection'?
While in the hospital, Dexter was visited by his former colleague, Angel Batista, who was a real person, not a hallucination. Batista suspected that Dexter could be the Bay Harbor Butcher and decided to prove his guilt.
Dexter escaped Angel and traveled to New York, where he reunited with Harrison. While there, he learned about a club of assassins led by billionaire Leon Prater.
Dexter infiltrated Prater's club, pretending he was the serial killer Ronald Schmidt. Dexter had killed Ronald himself and eventually got rid of almost all the other members.
In Episode 9, Angel contacted Leon and informed him that Ronald was an imposter. However, Prater took Angel hostage and tried to convince Dexter to cooperate with him in hunting down other killers.
Dexter refused, and Prater killed Angel. Then, he locked the Bay Harbor Butcher in a storage room with artifacts – the belongings of serial killers.
After 14 Years, The Ice Truck Killer Returned in the 'Dexter: Resurrection' Finale
In Episode 10, Dexter was left alone and trapped with Angel's body. At this tense moment, the "ghost" of Brian Moser appeared, played again by Christian Camargo. Brian is Dexter's brother, and they witnessed their mother being killed together.
Fans were thrilled to see the character return. Redditor glendrocht wrote:
“Brian and Dexter arguing in a sealed room with the metal killtable present. I felt like I was 16 years old again.”
Brian also became a serial killer, but he hunted innocents. He was the maniac nicknamed The Ice Truck Killer in Season 1 of Dexter. Brian dreamed of forming an alliance with Dexter, but Dexter killed his brother.
In Prater's vault, Brian criticized Dexter for trying to befriend ordinary people. According to him, relationships with them would not lead Dexter anywhere good.
In a sense, the "ghost" tried to weaken Dexter, but he didn't give up. As a result, Dexter escaped the vault with Harrison's help.
