After a 4-Year Wait, 'The Witcher's Most-Wanted Character Is Finally Making Her Debut in Season 5

She was supposed to appear in the second season, but was cut from the plot. Now, she is ready to join The Witcher's final season, and here is who she is.
Production on the fifth season of The Witcher is in its final stages. The cast and crew are currently working on the final episodes, which are expected to be finished in the coming months.
While Netflix is keeping all the details under wraps, insiders have learned about an important addition to the cast.
Shani Will Finally Appear in 'The Witcher' Season 5
According to Redanian Intelligence, Shani will finally appear in the show and will be played by Emily-Jo Young. Shani debuted in Andrzej Sapkowski's novel Blood of Elves, on which the second season was based, but she was then cut from the plot.
Many viewers have grown disillusioned with The Witcher over the past three seasons, and the fact that Henry Cavill was replaced by Liam Hemsworth hasn't made things any better.
However, even the most skeptical fans were pleased with the casting of Shani. Redditor SaxoGrammaticus1970 wrote:
“I hate the show and most of its casting choices with my guts, but this is actually a very good cast.”
Who Is Shani in the Books & Games?
Shani is a talented medical student at the Oxenfurt Academy. She only appears briefly in the original book series. However, she became popular among fans thanks to the CD Projekt RED games.
In the first game, Shani played an important role and was one of the romantic choices. She also appeared in the The Witcher 3 DLC Hearts of Stone.
