Alex Jensen from The Big Bang Theory Is Now 37 and Still Gorgeous
Wonder what happened to Margo Harshman, who played Sheldon’s assistant Alex Jensen on The Big Bang Theory?
Actress Margo Harshman landed the part of Alex Jensen on The Big Bang Theory in 2012 and stayed for a total of four episodes of season 6. Alex was a Caltech doctoral student who Jim Parsons’ Sheldon hired to be his research assistant, although he often gave her some irrelevant tasks instead.
Alex’s time on the show may have been short-lived, but she did manage to become a memorable character, particularly due to her crush on Johnny Galecki’s Leonard, who was completely oblivious to it at first.
However, the same couldn’t be said about Kaley Cuoco ’s Penny, his girlfriend, who smelled something fishy going on right from the start.
Harshman’s character was supposed to appear in more episodes, but she was eventually written out of The Big Bang Theory in 2013 because the actress moved on to bigger and better job opportunities. That same year, she got the recurring role of Delilah Fielding on NCIS (and she has starred in 18 episodes so far!).
In fact, 2013 was a big year for Harshman acting-wise. She also had guest roles on Bones and Betas. In 2014, she appeared in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as well – the star sure had a thing for police procedurals!
In 2022, Harshman had a small role on How I Met Your Father, the remake show of the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She played Mia, Jesse’s new girlfriend and, coincidentally, Ellen’s one-night stand from before.
The actress hasn’t shied away from the big-screen projects either, appearing in 2015’s Toxin and 2016’s Love on the Vines. Exposure, her upcoming movie, is premiering this year, and Harshman is playing the lead role.
The Big Bang Theory star is now 37 years old and still gorgeous! She doesn’t have any known social media accounts and prefers to keep her personal life private. In 2002, Harshman notoriously dated her Even Stevens co-star, bad boy Shiah LaBeouf, but the relationship didn’t last for long. In 2017, she tied the knot with musician Austen Hooks, but the couple filed for divorce the very next year.
Hopefully, viewers will be seeing more of Margo Harshman in the future!
