Fans of A Galaxy Far, Far Away will be delighted by the abundance of content in 2024.

Lucasfilm regularly faces ups and downs related to creative control over the production process, which has resulted in some films and shows not being of the highest quality (like the much-criticized third season of The Mandalorian ) or being scrapped (like Willow) or canceled even before release.

But now the creative reins are held not only by Kathleen Kennedy (who remains the company's president), but also by Dave Filoni, arguably the biggest Star Wars fan at Lucasfilm, who was promoted to chief creative officer in November 2023. This simply means that many fan-favorite projects will finally be released. Let's take a look at all the Star Wars shows coming to Disney+ in 2024.

5. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Although Skeleton Crew is billed as a coming-of-age story for kids and teens, we all know that 'kids shows' like The Clone Wars often deal with pretty serious themes and explicit scenes about the horrors of war and its aftermath, so fans should definitely expect this series, which will take place parallel to The Mandalorian, after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Created by Jon Watts and Christopher D. Ford, the series will tell the story of a group of children lost in the galaxy who are protected by a Force-sensitive character played by Jude Law. Filming wrapped in January and was scheduled for release in the fall of 2023, but was pushed back to 2024 for undisclosed reasons.

4. The Acolyte

Another highly anticipated series in the Galaxy Far, Far Away franchise will be a prequel set one hundred years before The Phantom Menace, during the so-called High Republic, a multimedia Star Wars sub-franchise developed under Disney as a replacement for the popular Old Republic setting. The Acolyte will be the first live-action series set in the High Republic era and will tell the story of a former Padawan (Amandla Stenberg) who reunites with her former Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) to investigate mysterious crimes that conceal the plots of the Dark Side.

The series is currently in post-production and is also scheduled for release in 2024.

3. The Bad Batch, Season 3

A personal project of Filoni's, The Bad Batch is a spin-off of the cult animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, chronicling the misadventures of the elite Clone Troopers and Omega, the unaltered female clone of Jango Fett, in the aftermath of the tragic Order 66 and during the early years of the Galactic Empire's tyranny. Though the series was initially met with a relatively cold reception, fans quickly grew to love it, thanks to its memorable characters, its lore-heavy script, and its tie-ins between the prequels and Lucas' original trilogy.

The third and final season, which will continue the tragic story (what happened to Tech?), is also scheduled for 2024.

2. Tales of the Jedi, Season 2

Fans should wait for the sequel to Tales of the Jedi, another passion project by Dave Filoni, which is an anthology of backstories about the characters from the prequel trilogy and The Clone Wars. In April 2023, a second season was announced at Star Wars Celebration, to be released in 2024.

1. Andor, Season 2

People were captivated by the grim atmosphere of the revolutionary underground during the Galactic Empire years, thanks to Diego Luna's dramatic performance and Stellan Skarsgård's poignant monologue on sacrifice. Andy Serkis also captivated the audience, making them care about a prisoner tormented by fear, doubt and disillusionment. Season 2 was originally scheduled for the summer of 2024, but writer and actor strikes halted production. However, the show is still expected to air sometime in 2024.
