Things won't be as easy as you think.

Summary:

  • All American is a sports drama series on The CW, which has been on the air since 2018.
  • The show will return to the screens with its 6th season on April 1.
  • According to Daniel Ezra, all the fans of Spencer and Olivia will need some more patience to deal with the tense reunion of the couple.

Following The CW's rebranding, the network's president of entertainment, Brad Schwartz, has announced that the network is on its way to claiming its rightful place alongside ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox as part of the "Big 5" of modern television.

The ambitious plan includes not only original content, both scripted and unscripted, but also more than 500 hours of sports by 2024. Fortunately, The CW already has the show that masterfully blends the two. Perhaps that's why it's staying on the network, even after many series have been canceled.

As All American enters its sixth season with no plans to leave anytime soon, viewers are excited to see some of their old favorites back with a newly established dynamic.

All American Season 6 Release Date

Unlike another The CW original that managed to survive the big cancellation after the rebranding, Superman & Lois, All American will be back with a new season this spring. The first episode of season 6 of the show will premiere on The CW on April 1, and fans are already full of theories about what it will bring.

Of course, one of the most anticipated moments of the upcoming season will be the reunion of Spencer and Olivia, whose relationship was left on a cliffhanger in the season 5 finale. The good news is that, according to Daniel Ezra and Samantha Logan, the two will keep their promises and wait for each other. Still, there will be drama.

Speaking to Deadline about what to expect from the season, Ezra teased the tension between Spencer and Liv, who spent all of season 5 apart and will now have to face the consequences.

“They’ve had a significant amount of time apart. That changes both of them. They’ve been on separate continents for a minute now, so what we’re going to kick off with is the two of them realizing just how much they changed,’ the actor said.

Fingers crossed, the trials and tribulations will not only make the relationship between the characters stronger, but also keep the viewers hooked on the drama. All Americans have a chance to see season 7, but they will need a solid foundation to get there.

Be sure to tune in to The CW on April 1 to watch the season 6 premiere of All American. Keep an eye out for more news and behind-the-scenes updates on the renewal or cancellation of the series.
