'Andy Sachs 2025' — Anne Hathaway Reveals First Look at a Fashionable Comeback

Hathaway shares on-set glimpse as sequel officially takes shape.
Nearly two decades after The Devil Wears Prada first hit cinemas, Anne Hathaway has shared a striking on-set photo of herself back in character as Andy Sachs. The image, posted on Instagram with the caption 'Andy Sachs 2025', offers fans their first glimpse at the much-anticipated sequel — and confirms that production is well underway.
Set to be filmed in both New York and Italy, the sequel reunites much of the original cast, including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Kenneth Branagh also joins the ensemble, though Adrian Grenier, who played Andy’s boyfriend Nate in the original, won’t be returning.
The plot picks up with Miranda Priestly still at the helm of Runway magazine, now facing the headwinds of a struggling print industry, while Blunt’s character has risen to executive ranks at a powerful fashion conglomerate. The tables, it seems, may have turned.
It’s a clever setup for a sequel: older, sharper characters navigating a world that’s less about ambition and more about power. Will Andy find herself pulled back into Runway's orbit, or is this a different kind of fashion battlefield altogether?
For fans of the original, it’s both a reunion and a reckoning — and let’s be honest, who hasn’t wondered what these characters might look like two decades later?
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.
