Everything Everywhere All at Once star's role in Loki season 2 has been compared to a certain James Bond character.

After 20 years away from Hollywood, Ke Huy Quan returned to the spotlight in spectacular fashion, winning the 95th Academy Awards in the Best Supporting Actor category for his portrayal of Waymond Wang in the 2022 American comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once.

And soon, fans will get to see even more of him in the second season of the Loki TV series.

According to pop culture insider Daniel Richtman, Quan will play a character named Ouroboros, described as "Q of the TVA and in charge of all the tech," which is a reference to the character in the James Bond films and novelizations.

Q (short for Quartermaster) is the head of Q Division, the fictional research and development department of the British Secret Service.

He was most recently portrayed on the big screen by Ben Whishaw in the James Bond films Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021), starring Daniel Craig.

Such a comparison makes it clear that Quan's character will provide all sorts of gadgets and weapons to Loki and Mobius, who are portrayed by Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, respectively.

The teaser, which was shown at D23 Expo 2022 in Anaheim, California, showed Ouroboros interacting with the aforementioned duo in what looks like an archive room within the TVA, lined with all sorts of artifacts and trinkets from across the multiverse.

Given that both Loki and Everything Everywhere All at Once rely heavily on the concept of parallel timelines, fans have already come up with several theories connecting the two fictional universes.

They are further inspired by the fact that Michelle Yeoh, who played Quan's on-screen wife in Everything Everywhere All at Once, recently made her MCU debut as Ying Nan in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).

Though the theories are humorous in nature, fans are warmly welcoming another star of the Oscar-winning comedy to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The second season of the god of mischief's adventures through time and space is slated for release this summer, with an actual date yet to be announced.
