Before 'Alien: Earth', Timothy Olyphant Starred in the Best Neo-Western TV Show of All Time

Timothy Olyphant's best project, Justified, is the perfect show to watch while waiting for new episodes of Alien: Earth.
On August 12, the first two episodes of Noah Hawley's new series, Alien: Earth, finally premiered on Hulu. The show has already received rave reviews from critics and viewers, scoring an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.
One of the show's main stars is Timothy Olyphant, who plays Kirsh, the mentor of the main character, Wendy.
If you want to see more of the actor, there is no better option than Justified – a must-see series even for those who have never heard of the neo-western genre.
What Is 'Justified' About?
When a drug cartel boss arrives in Miami, where Raylan Givens works, the lawman orders the gangster to leave town within 24 hours. When the deadline expires, Givens shoots to kill when the criminal pulls out a gun.
For murdering a criminal, his superiors send Raylan from Miami to his native Kentucky, where he becomes a target for both criminals and his colleagues.
'Justified' Is a Faithful and Respectful Adaptation of Elmore Leonard's Story
Justified is based on the short story "Fire in the Hole" by Elmore Leonard, Quentin Tarantino's favorite writer.
Leonard was involved in developing the concept as a producer, but he could hardly have imagined the scale of the series, which grew to six seasons and a spinoff, Justified: City Primeval.
For the first couple of years, the crew was given bracelets with the abbreviation "WWED" – "What Would Elmore Do" – so that everyone, from the writers to the makeup artists, would stay true to the original concept.
'Justified' Features One of the Best Hero/Villain Duos in TV History
Raylan Givens' main antagonist is his old friend, Boyd Crowder, played by Walton Goggins, star of The Hateful Eight and the third season of The White Lotus.
Raylan and Boyd are one of the best hero/villain duos in TV history, on par with Sherlock and Moriarty. The writers initially planned to kill Crowder in the first episode but changed their minds after seeing the chemistry between Goggins and Olyphant.
