Glen Powell might be everyone’s favorite internet boyfriend right now, but he probably went completely unnoticed with a cameo role in CBS’ hit series NCIS all the way back in 2012 — here’s where exactly you could’ve missed him.

Ever since the Sydney Sweeney-led romcom Anyone But You hit the screens back in 2023, Glen Powell’s name has never quite left the newsfeed, now being associated with more and more upcoming blockbusters the actor will star in.

Still, Powell spent years in the industry before eventually rising to stardom, first appearing in minor roles in several TV shows and, specifically, even in CBS’ procedural drama NCIS.

The latter has so far spawned 22 seasons and counting, also having featured myriads of now prominent actors in almost invisible roles.

Powell’s role, however, went up for 2 episodes in total — in case you might want to give those a rewatch, we’re breaking down which season they’re a part of.

The actor’s character initially shows up in season 10’s episode 6, eventually also making it to episode 7. In the series, Evan Westcott is mostly involved as the younger brother of Captain Joe Westcott who witnessed his friend being attacked and was suspected of being a part of the evil plan.

Despite not having too much screen time, Powell has recently given credit to NCIS, saying that even a minor role in a show that big saved him during his struggling first years in Hollywood.

“The business no longer supports struggling actors the way it did when I was kind of coming up. I would do an episode of 'NCIS,' and that would keep me afloat for a year. You know what I mean? You're not living a lavish lifestyle. You're hiding a flask in your boot if you go out for a drink. You're not necessarily able to afford anything significant in that town, but you are able to stay there. Those little jobs, like getting a commercial, keep life in the system”, the actor revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair while promoting his movie Twisters last year.

Glen Powell Has Gone ‘Through Fire’ For His Next Movie

Now that there’s no need for him to hide a flask in the boot, the actor gets a lot of options when it comes to his potential next projects, and it seems like Stephen King’s upcoming adaptation hit Powell harder than anything before.

Directed by Edgar Wright, The Running Man will become a second adaptation of King’s novel of the same name recounting the story of Powell’s Ben Richards who volunteers to participate in a deadly game to win some money and save his gravely ill daughter.

Even with the premise being clear about some required action skills from Powell, it turns out that the latter’s previous experience wasn’t enough for the role anyway.

“Probably what I get for asking Tom Cruise for advice on using a stunt double… Now that I’ve gone through fire, I can say I’ve never worked harder on a movie in my life”, Powell revealed at Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation back in April (via Deadline).

The Running Man is currently scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on November 7.
